Nope, Satch plays a JS model. The guitar's shape is sorta similar though.

Just received it -in Charcoal Brown color- last week from Thomann Germany e-shop. Great deal, delivered with genuine Ibanez GS60 (cheap) strap and ISGB5 (very practical and protective) gigbag, the guitar not only sounds very good but moreover it is a beauty! As I read somewhere, when you are a beginner and you buy a guitar, buy a guitar which is not only a good one but also a beautiful one. Not only will you learn quicker but also you will respect so much your instrument it will last for years. I pay my respects to you, Ibanez, for making a so good and so nice guitar at a so affordable price!

I too have one of these and it Rocks (with a capital R)! It simply has to be the best guitar for the money out there. Mine is a couple of years old now and still plays and looks like new.

I want it pretty bad. I already have an Ibanez RG350 EX and an Ibanez BTB200 IPF (bass).. But I want a SA120! xD
But first I'll buy a new amp. 20 watts now and a lot of Ibanezzies doesn't fit together :P

I just received this guitar, having bought it online, and am extremely pleased with its playability, looks and sound, as well. I spent many hours researching reviews on this site to narrow down my short-list to the SA120, and I really feel that the time's now paid off. So I just want to say 'thanks' to all the good peeps who took their time to write reviews - which helped so much in making my final choice. I'm very pleased with the SA120.

ey. . that axe seems nice, ,apart from the tremolo system, though. Is it possible to cange the trem sys. with a locking one? Also for the nut. Thanks!!! -E-

i bought this guitar for $180, and its been great. Really sturdy hardware..great quality. I put an emg in the bridge and it sounds great. The neck plays so fast. Its really good for the money and easy to modify.

Hey, I need an urgent question answered.
I was supposed to buy the SA120. But my local music store says they do not stock these any more. Instead, they advised me to go for SA120EX which is a little more expensive. I am a beginner. I do not have a defined style yet so I chose SA120 for its versatility.
So what is the difference between SA120 and SA120EX? I came across no reviews about this model. Is it also good for clean sounds?

Same guitar as SA120, the only differences are cosmetic ones (black chrome hardware, and PU covers).
Exists now only in black or silver.

I'm into metal. i am somewhat of a beginner but more of an intermediate . i already own a guitar that is cheaper then this and i was thinking of this as my second guitar. i want a guitar that will do pinch harmonics on every fret and have no buzz. Should i invest into this?
