Sound: It sounds a little thicker because of the Gibson style pickups, but it definately has that bright sound of the longer scale length. It has a good sound for the long scale length. The sound is very versitile. It's good to use it with both pickups in humbucking mode, and play it relatively clean. It gives a nice rich powerful sound. very quiet electronics when played through a variety of amps and effects. Has a single overall volume controll that's very cool, and by changing the seperate volumes on each pickup you can get a plutora of extremely usable sounds that never ends. Acoustically, it's nowhere near as "resonant" as say, an ES-335, which may contribute to its lack of annoying feedback. // 10

Action, Fit & Finish: Beautiful Flame maple top, top of the line Kramer quality, no problems whatsoever. All hardware was tight and required no adjustment. Guitar set up really good. The strings are rather heavy. What you get is a well-constructed, solid guitar with decent hardware, that when set up properly plays like a dream. Factory setup was okay, although the Floyd needed a bit of attention. Very comfortable, and a joy to play once you do a little setup. Their shipping boxes are not that great, and if you get one perfect, then your lucky. Only really bad part was the bridge pickup is intermittent; it drops out occasionally and will have to be replaced. // 8

Reliability & Durability: This guitar looks as well made as any thing going and the price point is insane. Build quality is great considering the cost. The above pickup problem was just one of those things that happens. Electronics feel smooth and the hardware looks excellent. Stays in tune really well even though you will put some graphite in the nut. There is no way this guitar would be as durable as a bolt-on neck guitar and Fender-type guitar, but should be as durable as a Gibson or Epi. It feels very slightly heavy on the headstock side, probably due to the locking nut mechanism. // 8

Overall Impression: This guitar's clean sound is not quite as good as a Strat, but the overdriven distorted sound is full of amazing harmonics - especially on the bridge pickup. The other pickups are great, too. The neck profile, while very comfortable, says "shred" more than "sing". Neat guitar at a great price; go buy one. You can't get more guitar for so little money. // 8
