Yeah I have this guitar... pretty good to start off with and it's cheap too. A good guitar if you're just beginning.

i have this guitar with a peavey backstage amp...and they both blow. i played a Ltd. F-250 plugged into a Spider II and judas preist what a friggin difference.

i have the earlier model raptor and it is great for a beginner guitar. Way better amp and guitar than the Fender Squire. Apparently Peavy went cheaper with this model the past couple years and its not as good anymore.

Yeah i get the impression Peavey are producing cheaper stuff now. My old Raptor did me well for my first year or so of playing. I'd be interested to see how it feels now that I'm a bit more experienced!

This was my first guitar. I would say that it makes a great axe for beginners, but my pickups broke after a year. It's a decent guitar.

Do any Peavey Raptors here have 'International Series' as part of the insignia on the head?

hello friends,i live in sydney australia. i was just reading up on this guitar, i actualy picked one up in a porn shop a few days back for $180.00 this peavey raptor is the model with the jack daniels logo on the top edge of the body. its black, not a scratch and considering the strings are in pretty bad shape it didnt sound to bad when i got it home and plugged it in to an old 50 wat amp.the action is ok and the harmonics are pretty close to perfect. im not sure what they are worth so i hope i didnt get ripped off at $180.00 rock on, rock hard. cheers, ozrock

this guitar is awful. if youre gunna play metal and youre a beginner, get an ibanez rg321 or a jackson js30dk. unless your like homeless, then dont bother playing guitar because you wont be able to afford anything

lmfao, im so sorry guys, ok, here in sydney there is a small chain of shops called the porn shop.
unlike the PAWN SHOP that they are normaly called.i know it sounds odd but thats what this guy called his second had stors and it really gets peopls atention.
so, yes i know what i wrote makes my look like a dick lol but thats the name of the shop. the porn shop, not the PAWN SHOP.
