Features: A 2009 Schecter Zacky Vengeance Mirror was crafted in South Korea. 22 jumbo frets (dots) with Logo V ("Vengeance University") at 12 fret. 3-pieced mahogany, fingerboard of mahagony, Passive electronic Seymour Duncan SH-4 (neck, bridge) with Grover tuners. Encrusted with a mirror top and chrome hardware. // 10

Sound: I play a bit of everything, but that did not play - guitar shows its best side. Honestly, I'm a beginner guitarist, but never ceases to amaze with my purchase. You can get a typical blues sound for enjoyable solos and to play punk. A play with the settings you can get heavy "evil" sound. // 10

Action, Fit & Finish: Excellent assembly. The guitar has flown all over the world while traveling in Russia, and the quality was as if it is just collected. Nothing is staggering, everything was tuned. No complaints except for a little rocking lever pickup. But I think this change will not make me put the "nine". // 10

Reliability & Durability: Guitar reliable as the Soviet guitar "Ural". It really is firmly established, no bends or wobbles. I play on it every day for a year, has sustained several blows on the floor (carpet) and accidental knocks by the wall neck.

Very well gathers the fingerprints, dust and minor scratches, and all this in 2 times more due to the mirror :). But the assembly a qualitative, and the guitar will withstand a lot. // 9

Impression: I love this guitar, but its advantages - its the same disadvantages. Cool trick with broken glass - because of this guitar should be cleaned more often. I like its sound, in hours of loneliness can "vent steam" with something heavier, or meditate, playing a beautiful solo for himself. Perhaps I did not at that has not changed.

I think that's one of the poorest examples of proving that A7X has a weak tone. I thought that was a pretty good cover with a nice tone. Granted some of their songs do have really weak guitar tones though.

It's a flash a guitar for a band that is just that: Flashy. Nothing really new comes from them and frankly reading over this, nothing really new has come from it. May sound great and all, but nothing tied to A.Sevenfold deserves a 10 anywhere. Plus as the reviewer said, it has some advantages, but also some disadvantages. like everyone says, the reviewer really doesn't have any idea what they are doing. not to mention, any review that gives almost all 10's indicates the reviewers inability to be critical, unless there is some serious experience and knowledge of instruments to justify giving all 10's.

The way I see it, A7X was the face of Schecter Guitars for over 5 years and still maintains high status in their company. People can bash them all they like, but bottom line, they are good and well defined enough to earn the right to have quality signature guitars put out for them. As far as the review, English is the second language for all students in Russia and they even learn another European language on top of it, which is why his grammar wasn't quite on par.

Heres the bottom line. A7X not necessarily a band somparable to the likes of metallica or megadeth or even some of the other newer bands that are their peers, but they are enjoyable to listen to I really like Shadows unique voice. Also who cares whos signature guitar it is? I like the mirror idea. And plus if there's something about it you don't like you can change it (new pickups, parts, etc) so if u don't like the guitar don't buy it. I would probably not buy this if given another guitar with a mirror finish option. But the mirror thing would be the selling point for me. The only signature guitar I could see myself buying would be the Hetfield Snakebite because it looks really sweet.

idk about walk, but all their other stuff had nice tone except when they switched to marshall's on their new album. now it sounds horrible. too thin, and the solo's sound tinny.

Actually bad metal is unpopular. Bands like pantera, Metallica, Megadeth, Iron maiden, Dream Theatre, Mastodon, and yes, Avenged Sevenfold are all great metal bands that happen to be popular. I could 10 more but everybody here would think that they are gay because they arent at least 30 years old.

Idk, I was a fan until city of evil dropped. But recently I find my self bangin the hell out of the new stuff. They have talent and more over they are modest about it. Who cares if this is their thing, theyre selling out shows world wide. Who remembers when metallicas black album dropped? By far the worst recieved of theire carreer yet its platinum now. I remember die hard fans burning the cd after they heard it then less than a year later going and buying it again. For every person that likes it theres 10 haters to troll about it.

Especially nowadays when the music industry clings to any trendy shit that will shift units.

Avenged has already been around for 12 years, so another 20 would be impressive for any band. They've already left enough legacy that they won't be completely forgotten even in 20 years. The elitists here are jokes. Everyone praising BTBAM's new EP and they've been around for only 11 years and Tommy's vocals won't hold up another 20 years, same with any elitist band out there. Exactly, anytime anyone mentions A7X on this site is starts a war between pissy teenagers. The fact is that Avenged will always be more popular and sell more albums than all of your metalcore/deathcore/death metal/black metal bands will. I love me some heavy, heavy shit once in a while, but im sure most of these kids listen to what some guy sound like hes puking over blast beats just to prove theyre MAster Br00taLs to theyre highschool friends. I'm not a big A7x fan. Hell, I really don't care for the metal scene because everyone's too busy messing with their tampon and bitching about a band because they are a bit too popular or something. How about grow the f**k up? They do the same chugs on the top string as any other metal band in the past 10 years. They scream, they sing. The bass is a bit overpowered by the guitar. They sweep a lot. Wow, doesn't that sound like your favorite metal band? Go listen to some music more worth listening to. Preferably something that doesn't require you to come blood. F**king apes.

Ok, let's lay it out there, I'm no fan of A7X, I intensely dislike them. But that doesn't meant other people can't like them. I think Synyster is extremely overrated, he is a passable player, and I can get that a lot of kids like to raise their first guitar hero to the skies. But to claim that he "blows most metal players away" or that he is the worlds best player is just plain ignorant. The same argument applies to Dimebag, but that's for another day.

I have to side with epi and say that A7X is not going to be remembered in 20 years, 30 years is a long time for any band, and lets face it, A7X is neither influential or original enough to retain that kind of status. Cannibal Corpse, Death, and Morbid Angel, of course, they invented a new genre. Nevermore and Dream Theater, sure, they're at the forefront of the progressive metal movement, and their guitar players are influences for thousands and thousands of young players. But not A7X, statement of fact.

And to the guitar, I like it, I'm a sucker for chrome, and the double JB combo is intriguing.. Nice to see a guitar geared at metal and hard rock without the generic EMG 81/85 combo (I'm looking at you ESP...).

And no, I do not listen to extreme metal because I'm some sort of elitist, but because I like it. Maybe it's time for YOU to think about why you listen to music, for enjoyment, or because it's "cool".

A7X rock. Their band represents a very clever marketing strategy...music, image, merch, spin off guitars...very clever. And the Rev was awesome. Are they as good without him? No. But kudos for effort, guys.
