M-20 Review

manufacturer: Harley Benton date: 11/04/2011 category: Guitar Amplifiers
Harley Benton: M-20
Nice small practice amp. It's got a 6.5" speaker, and 20 watts of power, this is one great solid state amplifier. It's a real practice amp for a beginner.

Features: Nice small practice amp. It's got a 6.5" speaker, and 20 watts of power, this is one great solid state amplifier. 2 channels: clean and overdrive. Louder than I expected. // 7

Sound: I use a Harley Benton 77 euro Stratocaster copy. The amps clean tone is bad. The overdrive sounds kinda Vintage but it's not very good and is quite weak. There is not much variety in tone with the amp. // 5

Reliability & Durability: Strong and tough. It's treated like garbage here at home and it's still alive. It fell off from the bunk bad here (that's about 1.75m height) and it's still alive, works fine. I can't gig with it because it isn't loud enough. But I can depend on it, because it's very tough and doesn't brake down easily. // 10

Overall Impression: I play a variety of styles: metal, alt metal, nu metal, death metal, heavy metal, and all other sub genres of metal. It doesn't suit any of them. It's a real practice amp for a beginner. // 7
