Robilious :
Foot switch is available, stereo plug, connects 2 foot switches. 1 controls switching between JC120 (clean) the other will turn effects on/off. I suggest you read the manual.

When playing in acoustic mode, use the gain as a "string dynamic" type adjustment. You'll get much more volume out of it in the acoustic mode in this manner.

Sorry, tried to post above comments in the appropriate review. System apparently does not allow for this.

I love the Rectifier setting, it just sounds so powerful. Great practice amp that could easily power a pub.

A solid practice amp, the best I've seen in its price range. It's actually pretty loud too for its size.

i have this amp, it is my first amp. it gives the best sound for any guitar u can plug into it, the R-Fier distortion is awesome

JLJohnson_21 :
i just bought it for a practice amp cause my brother busted my marshall mg15, and its not much better than that, plus it cost me $100 more. the rectifier setting does have a little more crunch to it, but like other solid state amps, just doesn't sound "real" or is too digital. i do like the accoustic setting though, probably cause i don't have an accoustic guitar, lol.

i own it. don't like the settings on the amp to much.
just use an effect pedal, thats better.

If ur looking for sumthing small than u shud get the cube-30. Its frikin loud for a small amp and the effects are pretty kiff, ive got one an its pretty gud but i live in a complex so I cant play it loud enough(bummer)

My VOX AD30VT is much better.

This amp is great for metal, but the Vox slaughters it on cleans and versatility

can you get a cube thats bigger and with cabinets? I have yet to check this one out though.

i own this thing amd it does its job not good but also not bad, if youre looking for a starter-average amp this is your best bet the things i dont like is that on low volume you cant get the sound what you need there for buy the new cube 30X other things i dont like is the sound quality of the hardrock, metal and R-fier channel they just dont sound right but anyway loads of options good price and roland/boss quality \M/

I've heard NOTHING but good things about this amp - UNTIL NOW!!! haha - looks pretty damn sweet, I may consider it sometime - and the fact that it has built -in effects is cool, but at the same time, a bit of a bummer as I've just gone out and bought a Boss multi effects pedal (forget the name, SORRY!!! ) for £100!!! :S

Vox AD30VT > Cube 30... at everything except
Cube 30 > AD30VT... at metal.

I own this amp.....It was the original serious beginners combo amp (atleas to my recollection).

I love it and never want to buy another amp...unless it's something in the half stack range (made by Roland)

THIS CUBE ROCKS!!!! Great sounds out of it, awesome range of sounds. And for a 30watt amp, it goes quite loud without losing its great sound!!!

zerodeck :
though it sounds like something may have come lose, it does not effect the sound as far as I can tell

that's called a paradox

I have the cube and it's perfect, I just wish I had a 100watt version

That's not a paradox. I'd guess he means that when you shake the amp you can hear something loose moving around, but it doesn't make any weird sounds when you play through it.
Think before you speak.

I have the cube and I'm having trouble finding the right punk rock sound I want(Ramones style). Might have to buy a pedal. Anybody got any ideas on settings ?

Pretty good amp, but as far as volume goes you need to turn it pretty high in order to get sound out of it. Resulting in having to lower the volume via your guitar.

omfg everyones like " this is a great amp for metal and beginers!!!" they are WRONG my friend got it and it sounds awfull, its not for metal. Every1 says that Roland kicks Voxs ass, i got the vox ad30 (cube 30s rival) and i must say MY VOX AD30 RAPES CUBE 30!!! ad30 does sound like metal, its from a good company, sure its more expensive but its worth it and its got like 11 pedals built in it, dont go wrong please buy the ad30 not cube 30

You can buy two Roland Cube 60's and hook them in stereo or you can buy the Cube 60 and attach it to an external cab I believe.

what is the difference between the cube 30 and the 30x?
POSTED: 10/15/2008 - 05:25 am / quote |
tigerking615 :
Dude, to the last reviewer...because the amp's never broken down on you, you give it a 5? A 5 means it's constantly breaking down...if there's nothing wrong, it should get 9 or 10...

I own this and when i play clean channel my guitar full volume, i can't get any sound under like 2 or 3 volume,
is this a defect or is this like normal?
