Features: This is a class A all tube 15 watt combo made in '97 in England with Celestion blue speaker. As they are now made in China, the quality of this AC15 is top notch compared to the current "custom classic" models. It has two inputs and one channel with treble and bass controls, a volume (essentially drive/OD), spring reverb, tremolo depth and speed and master volume. The first input has slightly more Drive than the second and is a little more responsive to picking dynamics, but not significantly. I play a lot of blues and classic rock, in particular John Mayer, SRV, Clapton and Zeppelin. It fits perfectly into these genres, giving a great clean tone which will break-up at suitable home volumes. Perfect home/ recording amp and would be suitable for small gigs too. // 8

Sound: I own a mexican standard strat (S/S/S) and plug it straight into the first input. Any thing from the nut sweet sound of mayer to a dark and plump tone of gilmour can be achieved, all with the Vox signature swagger. Plenty of clean headroom if desired, but will also OD at low levels, giving the full spectrum of sounds at any level. This is not a metal amp. It will not respond well shredding, and if your stupid enough to spend 400-600 on one of these and think your going to sound like Slipknot, then you deserve the disappointment for being ignorant. But it's definantly worth the extra money for one of these compared to it's chinese counterpart as the quality shines through, I've tried both next to each other. For Vintage tone and mojo, it's the daddy. // 10

Reliability & Durability: Talking to the previous owner, it seems to have never let him down and he giged it many times with no problem so thumbs up from me and him as it's never caused me any hastle. Remember to replace your tubes at least once every 2 years and leave in standby for at least 1 min before use everytime. // 9

Overall Impression: Perfect blues/rock amp. Responds well to effects and makes your guitar sound how your guitar should sound. If I lost it, I would do my best to find another one if not buy another current model to fill the gap. If you get the choice, do it! it will be the best purchase you make. // 9
