GE-10 Equalizer
This pedal is basically the same as any other equaliser pedal but with 10 bands instead of 6 or 7, so it offers the user a little more tonal control. The sliders cover 31, 62, 125, 250, 500, 1k, 2k, 4k, 8k, 16k (Hz) respectively and give you a +/-12dB range plus you can drop or boost the output volume buy 12dB.

Ease of Use: This pedal is basically the same as any other equaliser pedal but with 10 bands instead of 6 or 7, so it offers the user a little more tonal control. The sliders cover 31, 62, 125, 250, 500, 1k, 2k, 4k, 8k, 16k (Hz) respectively and give you a +/-12dB range plus you can drop or boost the output volume buy 12dB. It also has a -10dB pad on the input jack. It has a slider Switch on top to turn the eq on or off plus a remote jack on the back for an optional footswitch. // 8

Sound: This is where the GE-10 shines. It adds no colouration to my tone and is extremely quiet due to it running off mains power supply. You can even boost the output volume to Drive your amp, or back it off if you're looking for a cleaner tone. It's a very musical eq and the centre frequencies are spot on in my opinion. My only bone to Pick is the bottom two frequencies are a little to low to use on guitar but would be vital for a bass player. // 8

Reliability & Durability: This thing weighs around 2 kilos, solid as a rock! It has a full metal case and the sliders are still as stiff as they were when this thing was new in the 1970's. The on/off slider switch on mine is broken but I use a footswitch so it doesn't bother me. I think you could rely on this without a backup, just like any Boss product. // 9

Impression: The beauty of this equaliser is that it has 10 bands, it has enough sliders to cover the essential frequencies in various instruments making it suitable for guitar, bass or keyboard. It creates no unwanted noise and doesn't pop, hiss or crack when you turn it on or off. Every guitarist should own an equaliser, and for a 30 year old on-the-floor effect, you can't beat it. // 10
