Ease of Use: The Electro-Harmonix Q-Tron -- the phattest, funkiest envelope filter ever made! Features like switchable Boost and Filter Mix mode allow for an unlimited supply of all-new auto-wah effects that drip with attitude. Increased frequency response and improved signal-to-noise ratio make the Q-Tron perfect for use with any instrument. Bootsy Collins and George Clinton already have theirs. How about you? // 8

Sound: I play a Fender Lite Ash Telecaster right into the Q-Tron and from there the signal splits up: from the "Effect Out" it goes to my Vox VR30R and from the "Direct Out" it goes into my Fender Bassman. It isn't noisy. You can get any kind of filter sounds. For example like John Frusciante, Who used a modular synthesizer on Stadium Arcadium. And I also figured out how to use it as a fuzz or octave pedal (with the right settings). It is a crazy box but very useful and with many different sounds. // 10

Reliability & Durability: You can depend on it and I would use it on a gig without a backup! One switch is broken but it still works and it fell on the floor a couple of times and still works. The Qtron is build like a tank! The only problem is, that the filter sweep Switch is broken. // 8

Overall Impression: I play all different styles of music, rock, funk, punk, electronica. And if it were stolen I buy it again, because it improved my sound and has anything I need. I compared it with the MXR AutoQ, the DigiTech SynthWah and the Ashdown envelope filter, but there is nothing that is as good as the Q-Tron! // 9
