Sound: Last Friday at the House of Blues, I saw my favorite band, Allstar Weekend. Zach Porter, the lead singer, was the most favorite of the girls there. He sounds great live. They had Cameron Quiseng on bass, Nathan Darmody on guitar and he also played piano, Michael Martinez on drums, and Dillion on keys and guitar. He is not apart of the band but he performs with them. You wouldn't expect music like theirs on Disney. You's expect the usual Jonas Brothers or Selena Gomez. I really cannot say what they sound like. You can say Pop/Rock but also the keyboards make it more popish. I'd say it's dance music because they music makes you want to Dance Forever (one of their hit singles. Music video found on Disney Channel and their youtube page. outerspaceallstar). // 9
Perfomance: I'd have to say the band is very energetic. In some of the songs they played Zach Porter was jumping up and down and the rest of the band members were rocking out too! What they played that is on their album is Dance Forever, Amy, Different Side of Me, and Journey To The End of My Life. The songs that they wrote that they also played were Here With You, Good Day, and Catching Up. They sang the song 1985 by Bowling For Soup as their opener. They remixed it a little (to cut out the cuss words. There's only like on but still) and they rocked it! I remember I don't know if he was pointing to me or one of the girls around me but we all had hearts up with our hands and he points at us and all you hear is like a million screams. They had a big poster that said Allstar Weekend and two small ones that went on the side of the things in the background of the big one. // 10
Impression: This show was in Orlando, Florida on August 20, 2010. The openers were 7 Months Later, Before You Exit (love them!), and Action Item. I loved everything about the show! The one thing I hated was these girls behind me in glitter eyeshadow up to their eyebrows and mini-skirts pushing into me and I just about back handed them. The tickets cost about 13 bucks ADV and 16 at the door. The show was not worth the money. The way they played up there they needed more money! They work really hard and at the end of each show they have a meet and greet at each show! You could stand in lines for hours on end and they still won't stop till they meet everyone! You'd expect some Disney Channel kids with stupid little love songs but most of their songs aren't that bad! In the stage pit, there were at least over 200 girls (and a few guys here and there) in there screaming for them. They are very energetic and know how to rock a house! The most memorable moment was when I hugged Zach. II stood in line for and hour and a half and I hadn't sat down in 5 hours but I still waited. I am completely in love with Zach so just hugging him was a dream come true! I will go to their next gig! I hope it's closer to where I live! I drove 3 hours to see them. // 10
