For a band that has existed for 14 years, its obvious they know what they're doing with sound, and their performance at The Phoenix was nothing short of confirmation.

Sound: For a band that has existed for 14 years, its obvious they know what they're doing with sound, and their performance at The Phoenix was nothing short of confirmation. Nearly everything was right. The perfect bass, intense vocals, and ridiculous guitar shredding would be nothing without the amazing quality that was loud enough to wake all of Toronto up. However, even the smallest reasons are strong enough to keep a show from perfection, seeing as the guitars were noticeably quieter than every other aspect of the band which was a bit of a turn off. This, however, did not stop it from being one of the greatest show s ever. // 9

Perfomance: If the opening talents of Arsis and Exodus weren't enough. It was really Arch Enemy who made the night (as expected) but for many reasons I did not see coming. Never have I seen a show with a perfect setlist, but this night was a change. 01. The Root of All Evil/The Immortal 02. Revolution Begins 03. Ravenous 04. My Apocalypse 05. Taking Back My Soul 06. Silent Wars 07. I Will Live Again 08. Drum Solo 09. Dead Eyes See No Future 10. Blood On Your Hands 11. Guitar Solo 12. Bury Me An Angel 13. Dead Bury Their Dead 14. We Will Rise Encore Snowbound Nemesis/Fields of Desolation Jam // 10

Overall Impression: In the end. Arch Enemy proceeded to have played one of the best shows ever played, and was easily one of the most aggressive. From pushing and shoving, to crowd surfing, to insane moshing, the show had everything you'd want at a metal concert. The verdict? Best $40 ever spent, worth every quarter, of every quarter of every cent. If ever there is another tour, I will know, and I will be there. // 10
