Simon Neil took the lead as always singing with his beautiful yet rustic voice that was pitch perfect, which is an achievement in any case, let alone whilst playing the guitar and rocking out.

They played an intense 90 minute set covering their latest songs, hits from Puzzle and some older stuff from Blackened Sky.

The band played a flawless gig and were surprisingly accompanied by a string quartet on a few songs. Although this wasn't necessary it added a nice quality to the concert. Sound quality was good and managed to reach around the two tier room well, even to the low ceilings by the bar.

Despite the mainly Puzzle setlist, the band were fantastic as ever.

The performances from every group were good, Biffy were amazing. As soon as the stage art appeared, bit by bit, the crowd started chanting 'Biffy! Biffy!'

Amazing sound made even better by the small intimate venue and the crowd. You could say that the audience enjoyed them as they pretty much sang word for word throughout the gig.
