Sound: Holy sh--t what a show! First there was Taking Back Sunday and they were a pretty decent sounding 5 member punk band. Then came The Used and this got the ppl to there feet. The 4 member band totally brought the crowd together there soft lyrics and Celine Dion cover. And then Blink - absolutely amazing sound. You can hear the millions in effects they use and how much it makes a difference and Tom's like 8 pedal board makes for sum pretty cool sounds at the right times. Very well choreographed. // 10
Perfomance: You know after getting warmed up with "Taking Back Sunday" and "The Used" you were ready for the main show. You were into the whole concert mode and then when they did come out, there was no disapointing.
Feeling This, Easy Target - were a good opener nice and upbeat and the remotely familiar sounds worked out as a good opener.
Fallen Interlude, Stockholm Syndrome, Dammit - great drum solo by Travis, one of my fav songs so S.S. was great and playing it up tempo jsut added to it. Then as all the dedicated fans know Dammit finishes every concert and the thing about the song this time that surprised me was that they went back to the dude ranch version for the Interlude.
Whats My Age Again - possibly best song of the day reli fast paced and well sung/played.
Rock Show - this song sounds great if played as fast as possible and I was surprised that mark could even sing that fast.
All The Small Things, First Date - two fan favs sing alongs traditional big hit circumstances.
Adams Song, Stay Together For The Kids - played with alot of reverb and powerful distortion the two were great lighters or in this show's case "cell phones."
Asthenia, Down, Obvious - played up to par not as good as recorded but the type of songs that you didn't expect to be played up to level as the recordings.
Go, I Miss You - best 2 songs from new album and played off the crowds emotion and the screaming of "Go." // 10
Overall Impression: Saturday, May 29th, 2004 Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Molsen Ampitheatre. Openers: Taking Back Sunday, The Used. I loved the way the opening bands really got the crowd into it. Like they did there jobs and they created anticipation for the obvious main attraction. And they didn't disappoint when they came on, I hated how I was stuck on the lawn. Price: 40 bucks and I'd pay it again to watch it tomorrow. I loved when they said "lighters are so 5 years ago hold up your cell phones" and when the used frontman claimed he'd "give you all a fucking blow job." I am so going to there next show! Anyone Who doubts Blink's music. See a show and you'll understand why people can be so into one band. // 10
