Sound: As expected the singing and overall sound was enourmous. Even though the gig was not as big as Death Cab would deserve, but this would mainly be deduced to the fact that it they are basically unknown in France. The singing was extraordinary and the double drum solo in the middle of pictures in an exhibtion was mindblowing. I first had doubts if Death Cab would be a good life band considering the difficulty of their chorus guitar and the singing, but I'd say the live was even better than the album versions of the songs. // 9
Perfomance: The performance was amazingly good. Especially the interaction between band and audience was very elaborate. Since there were only roughly 200 people it was really small and cosy. Especially when someone shouted "I love you Ben!" he just dryly replied, "Thank you, see me after the show." The order of the songs remains a bit distorted in my head, but especially songs like The New Year and Different Names For The Same Thing got the crowd really going. // 7
Overall Impression: This concert was in France, Paris in a little shack in the middle of Le Parc De La Villette called Le Trabendo holding about 200 people. Opening act was John Vanderslice, I never heard of him before and he played 5 song, from which 2 are worth listening to. It was a good opening act for the sound was not too exciting but it fit in very well with the sound Death Cab served later. The show was exceptionally great because they played songs from all of their albums, which made it basically a Death Cab For Cutie best of concert. The tickets were J22.50 which was great. The concert all in all was great and I will definitely see them when they come to Paris again. Last comment: the best way to listen to Death Cab For Cutie is through someone elses body. // 10
