Sound: The singing was very good at this concert/performance, and it was lively as well rather than just sounding dull and boring - it sounded like effort was really being put into the voice. The instruments which [dweeb] used included the electric guitar, drums and bass guitar (along with a small keyboard device and effects).
The whole impression of the music was great, as it wasn't like a lot of the things you get nowadays where the whole thing is computerised - the music was live, with proper instruments and so this gave the sound a great quality, and made the whole thing better. The sound was more (for want of a better description) 'real', rather than with 'artificial' tracks etc. That people create on computers. // 10
Perfomance: The audience completely loved the whole performance, and spent pretty much the whole time jumping around and dancing to the great music. The songs played included:
"Dynamite" - a great song, the main song on one of the bands' CD's, which the audience went wild for!
"Playing In The Snow" - again a great song, with a catchy chorus for the audience to join in with
"It's OK" - a song which seems to encourage friendship and love, loads of people really fell in love with the song as well!
"We Are The Ones" - another brilliant song with some cool effects on as well.
"Silence Is Golden" - a great song with an awesome chorus and catchiness to it.
Something pretty cool which the band did was that at the start of the performance, for the first song, the whole band had drums and played them together for the intro to the song! // 10
Overall Impression: 28 August 2011, The Synergy Building (which was used in that year), Lincolnshire Showground, Lincoln, England, UK. There were no openers for the gig, it was only [dweeb] (though the normal 'hosts' of the Synergy Building opened and closed the evening). The whole show was great; the singing, the dancing, the music etc. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that the crowd was a bit squashed together, and I hurt myself whilst jumping up and down (perhaps I was just a little over-enthusiastic)!
There were no tickets to the performance itself, you could just go and watch it if you were staying on the site full-time, or even as a visitor. So, especially seeing as it was technically inclusive in the overall price of going to the site, it was well worth the money if you were going to the site anyway.
I would go to their next gig, but they split up soon after this gig, as they had only planned to have the band for one year, but ended up keeping the band together for 9 years (2003-2011). That unfortunately means that they won't be doing any more gigs, so I can't go to another. But overall, it was a great event and [dweeb] were brilliant! // 9
