Don Henley and Glenn Frey sounds like they still have many years in them. They hit all the notes right, just like they did when they started off in the 70's.

Sound: Don Henley and Glenn Frey sounds like they still have many years in them. They hit all the notes right, just like they did when they started off in the 70's. Don Henley changed between playing percussions, drums and guitar. Glenn Frey, as always, with his Acoustic guitar. The only point I did not like was that the guitars did not always sound in sync. But overall, the songs were really good, even new ones from their latest album Long Road Out of Eden. // 8

Perfomance: Most of the audience were people from the baby boom era, and they were dancing throughout. The concert was 3 hours long, and they sang every song you will know, and even had to leave out some famous ones like Tequila Sunrise and Take It Easy. I shall talk about some of their songs. Hotel California was the fourth song of their set. Many who came in late missed the Eagles' anthem. Joe Walsh showcased his guitar skills on the outro solo, while Don Henley sang the song with much gusto. It was the same trumpet introduction as the Farewell Tour in Melbourne in 2005. Lyin Eyes was my favourite song. Simple and catchy. I Can't Tell You Why and Love Will Keep Us Alive showcased Timothy B. Schmidt's songwriting and singing skills, which in my opinion, is the best in the Eagles. Joe Walsh played his heart out in songs like Life's Been Good, and showed why he is among greatest guitarists of his time. His style might be different from many British Blues' guitarists in the 70's but it was good. During the band introduction, Joe Walsh even managed to do funny acts and make funny faces. // 9

Overall Impression: It was in Singapore Indoor Stadium in Singapore on 23 February. The show was really good and long, with Eagles playing everything they knew and made my money worth it. Furthermore, they started on time. The only thing I hated was the organizer who, in order to squeeze every cent out, made those who could not afford to pay high prices sit directly behind the stage. Mine cost 100, but due to the arena not fully filled, I managed to upgrade to more expensive seats. The last time Eagles came was in 2005 for their Hell Freezes Over tour. Though I am doubtful the Eagles may tour Asia again, I will definitely see them if they do perform again. // 9
