Sound: Dave Grohl was unreal at this performance. He sung each song perfectly and added in extra screams or yells at the right moments during the heavier songs. He was at his best during softer songs such as "Everlong" and "Resolve." However the sound of the the instruments was not the best. Taylor's drums sounded fine and Nates' bass was perfect but the distortion and volume of Daves' and Chris' guitars was up way too high. The volume drowned out Daves' voice on some of the heavier songs but overall it was good. Not great, but good. // 8

Perfomance: Dave is a great frontman. He jumped, bounced, ran (eventhrough the crowd) and headbanged his way across the SuperDome all night. The light shows and lasers enhanced everything making it a great visual experiance. They started off with the first two songs off the new album, then "My Hero" then back to the new album followed by what seemed greatest hits compilation with "DOA" thrown in. The encore was the best part of the night. I can't remember all of the songs but here are some high lights: In Your Honor - a perfect opening song. It was like it was a national anthem. There were lighters out and everyone was still until the drums kicked in and the mosh pit started up. My Hero - wasn't expecting this until the end of the show but instead it was the 3rd song played. Taylor played the drum intro a little differently but still awesome. Best Of You - great light and laser show during this one. One of my faves of the new album. Everyone was singing along. Breakout - Dave got everyone to sing the intro to this before they started up the song. DOA - a lot of people singing along with this. Mosh pit was in full gear by this time. A lot of crowd surfers. Everlong - one of my favourite Foo Fighter songs. Everyone had their lighters out for this one as Dave did the majority of this song by himself. And if you didn't have a lighter you had your phone out. Perfect. Monkey Wrench - they extended this song by about 10 minutes as Dave ran into the middle of the mosh pit and played a guitar solo. Times Like These - the first song of the encore. Dave dedicated this song to Lemmy of Motorhead. Cold Day In The Sun - my fave song off the acoustic disc. Dave looked so happy as he was playing the drums and Taylor sounded great singing. All My Life - great closer for the concert. Everyone was headbanging to this one. I was getting worried that they weren't going to play it on the night. Other good moments were when Dave announced it was the Foo's 10th year anniversary and asked the audience whether anyone was at their fist gig in Australia. Everyone put their hand up of course and Dave pointed to one guy. "I know you were there motherf--ker! You were there!" Pauses, still pointing. "Your getting a blow job after the f--king show." Another moment was when Dave got everyone to sing happy birthday to Nate after doing a speech on what a great guy he was. // 10

Overall Impression: The SuperDome in Sydney was a great spot to have a concert. Plenty of space and food. It was only $80 for a ticket which is a good price for a big band like the Foo Fighters. The first support act was an unkown band from Melbourne who sucked. Nu-metal crossed with punk, that bad! Kaiser Chiefs were awsome and did a good job considering that the singers voice wasn't holding out. Overall it was a great concert! // 9
