Sound: Dave's singing capabilities only show more in their new songs! He played a Gibson FireBird Studio and a Gibson Les Paul with 'Bud' on it. Overall, the sound was quite amazing! Everything was nice and balanced but I think Dave's guitar was way louder then Chris'. Maybe that's the way it's ment to be, because all the songs sounded great!
I love the way Grohl screams i.e. in 'In Your Honour'. // 10
Perfomance: FF started off with some sort of best of-parade! After their intro (In Your Honour, which was nice too) they played (not in order) Times Like These, My Hero, All My Life and more good stuff! Dave played Everlong on his own, using his Firebird. It was brilliant! He is such a good frontman! He announced he they were gonna play a Lovesong, and made the entire crowd wave their hands. When everybody was expecting him to begin to sing, he just burped in the mic and said: oh this feels great! He also ran through the crowd (there was a path with security guards in the middle) and stood on the sound stage for a while. The main stage was decorated with old and broken amps stacked on eatch other, it looked like something could fall off any time so it was really cool! The crowd went with it. // 10
Overall Impression: So the Foo Fighters concert in Werchter, Belgium on July 3 2005 rocked! The same day you could see: Flogging Molly, Keane, Feeder, Queens Of The Stone Age and after FF, REM closed the beautiful festival. Oh yeh, on the other stage played: Eagles Of Death Metal and a whole bunch of Belgian bands. The other days at Rock Werchter you could see Green Day, Faithless and lots and lots more! I payed more then 50 euros for the ticket (one day) but it was worth it! It's not that luch if I realise I've seen Flogging Molly, QOTSA, Foo Fighters and REM. All in all I found the Foo Fighters to be the best band of the day and that's saying something! Unforgettable moment: their star: Can you hear me? Hear me screaming? (in front of 70,000 people). // 10
