Sound: What can I say about The Foo Fighters other than They really know how to kick some ass. Without a doubt this was one of the best shows that I've ever seen. They were loud, exciting and there wasn't a dull moment. Every member put their best effort into this show. David Grohl's voice cracked every now and then but no one cared. He was still great. Later in the show Grohl said, "You know I woke up this morning with two choices. I can not play the show tonight because my voice is shot, or I can play the show." He then paused for a moment and looked around and said, "You know why I picked choice number two? Because I f--king wanted to!" Then all ten thousand people screamed to the top of their lungs with approval. // 10
Perfomance: From the second they walked out on stage the audience was absolutely wild. They were so crazy. They tore the place up for nearly two and a half hours and we enjoyed every bit of it. I can't remember every thing that they played but some of the best performances that recall were "Monkey Wrench", "Learn To Fly", "Pretender", "Best Of You" and a Nirvana classic that I can't remember the name of right now. A lot of the most memorable moments of the show were when Grohl would stop and talk to the audience between shows and tell funny stories about their previous tours. // 10
Impression: The show was at the Pensacola Civic Center in Pensacola, Florida. The tickets were about $50.00 but there were two opening acts. The first one was a band called Against Me and I did not like them at all. I thought that they were awful. But at least some people liked them. The second opening act was Jimmy Eat World and they weren't that bad. I'm not a big fan of them or anything but they did a good job. The Foo Fighters were practically flawless. They were very impressive. I would definitely go see them again. After seeing them Live I am now a huge fan of them. The only thing that I would change about the show is that I would get rid of the first opening act. After seeing them Live I am now a huge fan of them. // 9

Sound: The sound was great. Loud, distorted, and it digged it's way right into your chest. I was especially pleased with the sound quality of the acoustic part of the show. The sound was clear and bright, even the additional keyboards, pianos, and violin. Not muddy and mixed together, but really good. The sound quality got better for each band. First opening act (Against Me) had a sound rig that just did not compete with the Foo Fighters. Neither did Jimmy Eat World. But there where no disappointments of any kind. // 9
Perfomance: The audience was great. And so was Dave. The (main) show started with the band entering the stage, and going into a performance of Let it Die. Absolutely one of their greatest song. After the screaming part they went straight into The Pretender, which really got the crowd going. The stage show was pretty cool. Multicolored lights, a few huge TV-screens showing the band, audience, music video, and just some background effects. They did not just play songs from their new album. I would actually have expected a lot more from Echoes. But I'm just happy that it was not just a album-promotion-concert, but that they did songs from their whole career. A lot of stuff from Colour and the Shape.
I (and the rest of the crowd it seemed) really enjoyed the acoustic part, when they lowered a second stage right into the heart of the arena, and walked out on the ramp to perform acoustic redentions of their songs. Best songs where Everlong (of course), All My Life (the crowd went berserk), and the final Encore song- Best of You. It was cool to hear the whole arena sing with the band from the top of their lungs. // 10
Impression: The show took place in Pensacola, Florida at the 20th of January 08. There were two opening acts- Against Me and Jimmy Eat World. The floor tickets cost about a hundred bucks on the website I got them from (the name escapes me... ), which is a pretty reasonable price for seeing three bands Live. Especially since it was a long show. Foo Fighters themselves played for more than two and a half hour, with the opening acts totaling about one and a half hour. A lot of bang for your buck. What I didn't like about the show the cold weather you had wait in to get inside the arena. But that is ain't the fault of anybody. But there was no "real" line. And the line was right out on the (already filled) parking spot. I would definitely go to their next gig. I enjoyed every minute of it. Absolutely the best concert that I've ever been to. I'm looking forward to their next concert already. // 10
I've only been to 2 shows in my life, a chili peppers concert and a foo fighters concert
I can honestly say the foo fighters concert was more entertaining, and that's saying a lot. The songs were flawless and amazing and they performed a lot of acoustic songs as well with many guests, such as a guest violinist and guest cellist (someone who plays cello, i think that's what they're called). Dave Grohl and taylor hawkins also made a lot of jokes and told funny stories.
Did I mention that one of the guests did a triangle solo?
I just saw them a couple days ago at the Dcu center in worcester MA and it was amazing. The opening acts were Against Me! and Serj Tankian. Against Me! are a great band and unfortunately with Serj getting to play second they got shafted. They only got to play for a half hour and barely delved into their extensive back catalog at all. I respect Serj as a musician but he only had one song that everyone new and the rest of it sounded the same, he just got to play second because he has more money. Other than that the Foo Fighters put on an amazing show as always.
