The Pacific Coliseum's sound setup isn't very good, but Green Day rocked the house down anyways and made the Coliseum erupt with the blasting sound of the insane guitars, heavy base, and kickass drum solos.

Sound: The sound was amazing. It was mixed perfectly so you had no trouble hearing any of the different instruments, or Billie Joe's voice. He sung exactly like he sounds on their albums (of course with added stuff), and hit every note perfectly. Mike Dirnt of course was spot on with the bass, and Tre' Cool was absolutley amazing on the drums man can that guy drum! As usual the opening acts were turned way up and sounded pretty bad (I was actually getting a headache), but the second Green Day came out, it was turned down (not too much of course!) so that you could actually hear everything. // 10
Perfomance: The crowd was going crazy the entire time. About two songs into the bands first set (at the end of Jesus Of Suburbia), Billie Joe called out to the crowd that he thought the pit was too small and asked if "about a hundred" more people could "slowly make their way down to the floor" instantly at least half of everyone in the seats (8000+!) leaped out of their seats and rushed the floor. Security didn't even have a chance, they tackled the odd fan Who jumped the "fence" but eventually gave up. This lead the floor to become the best mosh pit I have ever been in.
I was unbelievably crazy, everyone was crowd surfing, moshing, and head banging. It only took about 2 songs into Green Day's set before everyone broke out the weed, and about half-way through the entire coloseum was nicely hot-boxed (what do you expect at a Green Day concert?). The band played a few tracks off of American Idiot (American Idiot, Boulevard Of Broken Dreams, Jesus Of Suburbia, Wake Me Up When September Ends, etc.) and then launched into all the old singles off of their other records including: Minority, Brain Stew, Warning, Good Riddance, Basketcase, Longview, When I Come Around, and Welcome To Paradise. In the encore they launched into a sick version of "We Are The Champions."
The entire time Billie Joe worked up the crowd by involving them in chants, pulling people up on stage (he gave one dude his guitar), and drawing out the songs with awesome solo/interludes. His entertaining stage antics consisted of some under-the-pants crotch grabbing (rubbing?), an "I'm Rick James Bitch!" and crowd surfing. Talk about a band that knows how to keep the crowd involved. There was also a variety of great effects including pyrotechnics (fireworks), and confetti. // 10
Impression: In Vancouver, BC, at Pacific Coloseum on Nov. 17, 2004, Green Day rocked the house. The openers were Sugarcult and New Found Glory, and although they weren't bad (actually they sucked, but hey lets not be mean here), Green Day blew them away. Everything was perfect. The sound, the show, and the crowd were awesome, and never had a bad moment. The ticket (although seat but I was on the floor right away) cost me all together about $60, but I would have paid $100 because the show was that good. The show had no best moments the entire show was amazing, however it was pretty funny when the fan Mike Dirnt brought up on stage to play bass went stage diving and no one caught HIM. My personal highlight was almost losing my jeans while crowd surfing and Billie Joe giving his guitar to a fan (although I wish it were me). I am definitley going to the next Green Day concert that is near me. // 10

Sound: The sound was incredible. I didn't think it was possible for a live concert to sound better than the cd, but I was mistaken. Billie Joe's voice kept going throughout the entire performance. The guitars were pretty good. BJ didn't play for quite a few songs, but there was another backup guitarist to play when he was running around. He used his Les Paul for most of the songs, but he also used his signature strat for most of the songs off dookie. But he didnt really play very many of the solos. but what he did play was insane. Mike Dirnt was awesome, as was Tre Cool. Even the backup vocals were great. The Pacific Coliseum's sound setup isn't very good, but Green Day rocked the house down anyways and made the Coliseum erupt with the blasting sound of the insane guitars, heavy base, and kickass drum solos. Not to mention the huge explosions and pyros. // 10
Perfomance: The audience went mad throughout the entire show. Sugarcult came on first and were pretty good, then came on New Found Glory Who were pretty bad. The singer souded like he was constantly inhaling helium and grabbing his testicles. Then the blubbery bass player took off his shirt, which wasn't good. But once they left and the whole set was reveiled everyone went nuts. The crowd started pushing towards the stage 15 minutes before they even came on. Then once they did come on a mosh pit broke out throughout the entire floor as soon as american idiot began. They first played five songs off American Idiot first (AI, Jesus of Suburbia, Holiday, We Are the Waiting, St. Jimmy), then went right into Dookie. Every song was insane. There were no idle bits in the show, once one song ended, the next would begin, with the same energy level coming from the band and the crowd. Then when they played Hitchin' A Ride, BJ took an intermission moment in the middle of it and put his hand down his pants and got very excited.
After all the hand in pants excitement, they called three people up on stage to play with them. The guitarist went insane and the drummer took a crowd dive which got everyone hyped up for Longview. Then during the encore, they broke out with possibly the best version of We Are The Champions I've ever heard. Everyone went insane and the pit grew even bigger as the pyros started going mad and confetti came streaming out of the stage into the crowd. Then he used his Les Paul to play an electric version of Time of your life, which was kinda heavy, but sounded awesome. They closed with When I Come Around, which comletely rocked the house down. // 10
Impression: The concert was held at the Pacific Colisuem in Vancouver, Canada on November 17th. Sugarcult were pretty good, then New Found Glory killed it. But once Green Day came on everyone went wild and the show started. There was no defying moment of greatness, because the whole show was kickass, but the pyros and confetti during We Are The Champions was possibly the best thing I've ever seen. The only bad thing was the begining when everyone at the front were being completely squished by everyone constantly pushing towards the stage. Lots of people had to go to the back because their insides were being strangled. But as the show developed so did the insanly huge mosh pit. By the end it took up the entire floor. All the people in the seats looked so helpless only being able to jump around in their seats. This was definetally one of the best shows I've ever been to. // 10
