Brilliant. Green Day are nothing short of amazing live, they manage to achieve an even better sound than they produce on the studio albums, truly breathtaking.

Sound: Billie Joe is an amazing singer but his voice was not as deep as it normally is. They used guitars, basses, drums, trumpets, and harmonicas. The quality of sound improved over the time and it was very good. // 10

Perfomance: As the support band was rumoured around outside as New Found Glory, the crowd was getting even more excited. A massive flag dropped down from the back saying "New Found Glory." Near the end, Jordan (the lead singer of New Found Glory) crowed surfed whilst singing in the crowd. A person came on dressed in a Pink bunny suit got the crowd to sing and dance to YMCA whilst her pretended to drink beer and be drunk. After some waiting, the whole room went dark and the screaming became louder. Four flags in the backround fose and there were some hanging-down flags which had the album's fist symbol (look on the side of the album American Idiot and look between the words).

Billie Joe ran on stage with his guitar with Tre' and Mike following. People in the mosh pit were throwing big plastic cups of beer and stuff about. He ran to the front of the stage where he spread his arms out as though he was conducting the crowd. He jumped up in to position and started to sing American Idiot. After that finished, he dedicated the next song, Jesus Of Suburbia, to Nottingham. The next song was Holiday and said this was a thing to say "F--k you, Geoge f--n' Bush!". The next song was Are We The Waiting. Everyone from the crowd got their phones and lighters out and held them up when the lights dimmed to make the atmosphere like stars. The next song was St. Jimmy. I think before this he got a super soaker out and soaked everyone in the mosh pit and he also got one person onstage to help HIM. After the water fight, Mike and Tre' started to play the beginning of Longview.

Billie Joe decided he wanted to make a band onstage so he got three people to crowd surf to the stage to play. The drummer seemed to know how to play it and got the hang of it straight away. The bassist was a girl and didn't get the hang of it straight away but managed it in the end. The guitarist was from one of the teers and crowed surfed to the stage. Billie Joe still sang the lyrics though and Mike still did the backing vocals. When the song finished, the drummer kept on going which annoyed Armstrong so he threw the microphone at the drum kit (as a joke!) They also got to keep the guitars and the drummer took a picture of the crowd before doing a flip off in to the crowd from the extended stage. The next songs they played were Brainstew, Jaded and Knowledge. The crowd went crazy when Basketcase came on and Billie Joe used his imfamous fenandez guitar; Blue. The next song was She and Billie Joe layed on the ground and someone covered HIM in a toy crown and robe. After that, a trumpet player and another person came on to do the extra instruments for King For A Day. Mike and Tre' both put silly hats on aswell. Tre's was a Mexican hat. The next song was Homecoming which again people put lighters and phones in the air. Some people kept their's up for Boulevard Of Broken Dreams. Minority was a popular song for the crowd and half way through, Billie Joe started to show off his harmonica skills by playing some of the song with it.

One of the highlights was the cover of Queen's We Are The Champions. The screen in the backround showed the chorus so everyone sang along. There was a massive burst of confetti which was green, and white with red greenday signs on. To finish off, they went offstage, and Billie Joe came onstage again to sing Time Of Your Life with an electric guitar playing instead of an acoustic. There was a bit about half way through the show which included Billie Joe's hand, his trousers and HIM saying "Ah" (no more said).

Impression: The show took place on 27th January 2005 in Nottingham arena, in Nottingham, England. The whole show was amazing. There was no bit you couldn't have hated. Overall, it was obvious that none of the audience was disappointed and you feel as though you have got more than your moneys worth! The set up was amazing. The ticket's costed about 23GBP (which I thought was cheap for the show). The confetti was an unforgeable moment and also the opening with the beer and suspense. I will definitely go to their next gig and I would recommend it to anyone Who likes Greenday and loud music! Although the tickets all sold out in a day, they kept releasing more and it is the most people which have ever been in the arena! // 10

Sound: Brilliant. Green Day are nothing short of amazing live, they manage to achieve an even better sound than they produce on the studio albums, truly breathtaking. I left the Nottingham Arena almost deaf and with a distinct feeling of satisfaction I had never felt before. // 10

Perfomance: They got the croud involved at every opportunity and even allowed a few people to play Knowledge by Operation Ivy up on stage. They lucky guitarist actually got to keep the guitar as well. Pretty funny when the drummer was asked to play a basic beat and began showing off: "Don't get too cocky you bastard." It was wonderful to see everyone in the arens jumping up and and down to suh classics as Minority & When I Come Around - as well as some of the new(er) stuff. // 10

Impression: Venue: Nottingham Arena, UK - massive standing area as it doubles up as an ice hockey arena. The whole ice-floorr was turned into one big mosh-pit! Date: January 27th 2005. Support group: New Found Glory - they were amazing. I am acyually going to go and see them at the Nott'm Rock City if tickets are not sold out as they put on a brilliant albeit short performance. Ticket price: 22.50GBP - well worth it. Unforgetabble: the whole show. T'was my first gig and now I've been bitten by the buig. I shall certainly come and see them next time they tour! // 10
