Sound: The entire band was right on target the entire time. Billie Joe usually used his Les Paul Junior, switching every once in a while. // 10
Perfomance: 01. American Idiot - great opening, really got the crowd into it.
02. Jesus Of Suburbia - all 9 minutes of this song were flawless, it was perfect.
03. Holiday - after greeting the crowd, they went right into this, again played perfectly.
04. Are We The Waiting - I don't like this song very much, but it was a good change of pace.
05. St. Jimmy - nice, old school sounding Green Day, the moshpit got crazy during this one.
06. Longview - even though everything was going great, everyone was happy to hear a classic.
07. Hitchin A Ride - I don't like this song too much, but they performed it well.
08. Brain Stew - great, when we heard the first few power chords the whole crowd went nuts, great job guys.
09. Jaded - everyone went crazy to hear this song also, the mosh pit started to get really crazy during this song.
10. Knowledge - Billie Joe got a guitarist, bassist and drummer from the crowd to play this song while he sang it. When it was over, he let the guitarist keep the guitar and made the drummer do a stage dive. This really worked out well considering it was very risky.
11. Basket Case - classic Green Day, everyone loved it.
12. She - same situation here, the crowd was still on a high from Basket Case.
13. King For A Day/Shout - Billie Joe put on a crown and cape to sing this song, really entertaining.
14. Wake Me Up When September Ends - I was hoping they'd play this song, I'm glad they did, it's a great one. All the lighters came out.
15. Homecoming - flawless.
16. Boulevard Of Broken Dreams - around this time, only people with the album had heard this song since it hadnt been released as a single yet, but people Who knew it loved it.
17. Minority - classic.
18. We Are The Champions - perfect, highlight of the night. Green and white confetti came down from the ceiling towards the end and it was just amazing.
19. Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life) - after We Are The Champions, the rest of the band went off and all that was left was Billie Joe hunched over his guitar with the spotlight on HIM and everyone knew. As the confetti was slowly settling, he flawlessly closed the show. // 10
Impression: October 30, 2004, Continetal Airlines Arena, East Rutherford, New Jersey. Sugurcult opened the show and then New Found Glory. I'm not a fan of either of them but when Green Day came on it didn't matter too much. The tickets were 45 dollars and easily worth it. The best parts of the show were Minority, We Are The Champions and Time Of Your Life. I'll absolutely go to their next gig. They were amazing. // 10
