USA (Milwaukee), November 9, 2004 Review

USA (Milwaukee), November 9, 2004
The sound was amazing, every instrament could be heared. And Billie Joe was perfect on every song, the best thing about Green Day is their live shows sound as good if not better than their amblums.

Sound: The sound was amazing, every instrament could be heared. And Billie Joe was perfect on every song, the best thing about Green Day is their live shows sound as good if not better than their amblums, unlike bands like Blink that sound good recorded but can't sing for s--t live. // 10

Perfomance: As always Green Day put on a phenominal performance, playing for over 3 hours. They opened with American Idiot much to the excitement of the crowd. They continued with Jesus Of Suburbia playing all 10 minutes of it flawlessly. They continued with songs from American Idiot including Are We The Waiting, and St. Jimmy. After that they played some of their older stuff including, Hitchin' A Ride, Longview, Brain Stew, and Jaded. They then transitioned into their shout-out to Operation Ivy and their trade marked formation of a fan band on stage. The guitarist even played a rocking solo that impressed Billie Joe so much he gave the kid (19) the guitar, and the bassist took a moster stage dive. They then played some more older stuff, Basket Case, She, and Minority. They then messed around with some covers like "Shout" and Queen's "We Are The Champions." For the encore they came out and started with Boulevard of Broken Dreams and befittingly dedicated Wake Me Up When September Ends to Johnny Rammone. Tre destroyed some of his drums and everyone left the stage except for Bille Who played Good Riddance. After that to our surprise the whole band came out again to keep playing, When I Come Around, and even threw back and played some stuff off of Kerplunk, hell yeah! The took a request for the last song and ended the show with Welcome To Paradise. It was just awesome, thats all their is to say. // 10

Impression: This was all in US Cellular Arena in Milwaukee WI. Sugarcult opened first and did a good job of warming up the crowd with favorites like I'm bouncing off the walls again. Then New Found Glory took over and stunk up the place. They were tight but after the first song the lead singer's chipmunk sounding voice just got more and more annoying and his "dancing" was more like hemeraging than dancing. And there are just some people that should not play without a shirt, but apparently no one told New Found Glory's bassist, put a shirt on dude. Luckily Green Day saved the show and just rocked. I enjoyed their show more than Metallica's when they came two months ago. If you want to have a awesome time at a concert and Green Day is comming, go, any price is worth it. But don't waste your money on New Found Glory. // 10
