Sound: Bruce's vocals were very clear and it sounded as if he was really at the top of his game. Steve harris, used his usual Fender Precision bass. Dave, and Adrian switched guitars every now and then. Both of them used Fender stratocasters mainly, but both of them switched to Gibson les pauls every few songs. Also, adrian used a Gibson SG on "number of the beast". He also used his Jackson signiture on a few songs. Janick stayed on his Fender stratocaster most or all of the night, I can't remember from him. Nicko, as usual, had his huge drum set, and as usual, you couldnt see him through it. The overall sound of the concert was really good. There was one bad moment, in "Wrathchild, in the sound in the PA's went out and you could kinda still hear the music through the amps in the front. It was only out for 10 seconds. // 9
Perfomance: I enjoyed the show very much. The tour was like the past tours Maiden had done, where they stick to a specific era, and play mainly songs from that era. This mainly consisted of the later albums: Brave New World, Dance of Death, and A Matter of Life and Death. Also added in the setlist was one new songs on the upcoming album "The Final Frontier", the song titled "El Dorado".
01. The Wicker Man
02. Ghost Of The Navigator
04. El Dorado
05. Dance Of Death
06. The Reincarnation Of Benjamin Breeg
07. These Colours Don't Run
08. Blood Brothers
09. Wildest Dreams
10. No More Lies
11. Brave New World
12. Fear Of The Dark
13. Iron Maiden
14. The Number of the Beast
15. Hallowed Be Thy Name
16. Running Free
One weird thing that did happen was during one of the later songs, A kitten came running through my section of seating... Strange.
Iron maiden is known for their stage decoration. This time it was very futuristic. But they still had the curtain in the back that would change for every song. // 10
Overall Impression: This show was played in the US of A, in Phoenix, AZ, at The Cricket wireless pavillion on June 17th, 2010.
The opener for the show was Dream Theater. They did a good show, I think of mostly their later stuff as well. I loved everything about the show except the fact it was an outside show in Phoenix, in the middle of june. My ticket only cost me $35, so it was definetly worth it! In my opinion the enitre show is unforgettable. I will try to go to their next gig, but sometimes you never know how the ticket prices are gonna be. // 10
