The sound, the experience, and the band were all very good. The visual effects were simple but effective. Different colored lights above the band flashed in time to the music.

Sound: The sound overall was good, but not perfect. There were times when the chords blended into each other, making it seem as though the song had no particular tune. Sometimes the guitar was quieter than the drums. But, the overall sound impression was definitely good. // 8

Perfomance: I enjoyed the show a lot. The performance was very good. The between-song band-to-audience banter seemed kind of lame though. Still, they had things to say, not just repeating themselves after every song. The played most of the End of Heartache album. They played A Bid Farewell first. It was played well. In the intro, however, the guitar was more of a backgound thing than it should have been. Take This Oath was second to perfect. With World Ablaze and When Darkness Falls the chords melted together somewhat unmelodically. All the other songs were four out of five. The visual effects were simple but effective. Different colored lights above the band flashed in time to the music. The name of the band hung behind them. // 8

Overall Impression: The gig took place in Canada, Alberta, Calgary, MacEwan hall at the university. The openers were From Autumn To Ashes and The Enlightened Visions. One thing that was really fun about was that you could jump around cheering without actually being in the mosh pit or moshing. The tickets were 20$ each, which was definitely worth it. One very strange thing that happened is a girl walked up to me and told me I had to wave the devil horns around. The overall impression is very good. The sound, the experience, and the band were all very good. I will for sure go the next Killswitch Engage gig I can go to. // 10
