19th June, Royal Shakespeare Theatre, Stratford upon Avon. The fact that KT is the first musician to appear at the recently revamped RST which had such brilliant acoustics combined with the fact she is such a powerful live act made the show one that will not be forgotten for a long time!

Sound: KT is someone who is known for her musical talent but anyone at this show was in for something special. She was in fine form from the first song to the last. The run of solo shows she is currently about to embark on will showcase the talent she possesses not just with a guitar but with her vocal range, percussion skills and a lot of other technical equipment. Particular highlights included "Other Side Of The World" where she opted not to use the guitar and instead did the backing track entirely with her voice, new song "Alchemy" an entirely finger picked song stood out for the sheer beauty of the vocals and the "Uummannaq" song for the dramatic backing vocals and guitar. // 9

Perfomance: KT put on a memorable show, the crowd participation was brilliant with everyone on their feet for second to last song "Suddenly I See". The set list included most of her well known songs alongside some of the songs of her newest studio album Tiger suit but the singer songwriter also took the time to play a few songs off her new ep "The Scarlet Tulip" and these were brilliantly received due to the raw and honest fashion they were played and sung in. Her stage banter and little stories had everyone laughing and she wasn't put off by such a historic venue which sees the crowd on 3 sides of the stage. Overall brilliant performance which showcased what a talented artist KT really is. // 10

Overall Impression: 19th June, Royal Shakespeare Theatre, Stratford upon Avon. KT's opener on the night was Sarah Nixon, who conceded herself her songs were mostly tragedies, however this should not take away from the talented vocals the singer posses and when accompanied by the talented pianist she played with on the night she was a perfect opener. I have seen many bands worthy of note, Guns N Roses, Velvet Revolver, Oasis and so on but I honestly feel this gig was the best of the lot, the fact that KT is the first musician to appear at the recently revamped RST which had such brilliant acoustics combined with the fact she is such a powerful live act made the show one that will not be forgotten for a long time! // 10
