Sound: Maroon 5 put on a great show the night I saw them. They double-headlined with Counting Crows, who had a good set as well. Eventually, after about 8 songs, their songs start to sound the same and they don't mix up their music much, but the singer was really into it, and the bassist and drummer were amazing. I would definitely see the show again if they come back to town. Also, because the songs were short and quick and didn't have any long, boring transition parts in the middle, it kept up the tempo and sounded better. // 8
Perfomance: They got the audience really into it, they were spectacular. However, between songs, he would talk for about a minute, and he wasn't very funny (no offense, guys) and it felt like a waste of about 20 minutes when they could have played other songs. They played about half of their first album, and almost all of their second and no obvious screw-ups happened. All in all, it was a very good performance. // 7
Impression: The show was is the Raleigh Altel Amphitheater, in Raleigh, NC on July 31, 2008. They double headlined with Counting Crows and the tickets were $22 per grass seat, but there was a discounted reserved seat for $6 for everyone that printed it off. The special effects were great, I found myself staring at them instead of listening to The Music. The theater has 2 big screens to the right and left of Maroon 5, and if you were blocked, you could at least see the screens. The show was completely worth it, and the service for soda was good as well (beer, not so much). Great show! // 8
