Sound: The sound qualiy was great, the levels were perfect from where I was at the front left. Even some of my mates who were right at the back said the sound was great. The band consist of Zach de la Rocha on vocals, Tom Morello on Guitar, Tim Commerford on Bass and Brad wilk on drums. The vocals were very shouty as that is part of zach's rap style. Tome morello pulled off many of his blillianly original sounding scratchy solos that only he can seem to play // 10
Perfomance: The band came on with black bags on their head and played the first track dressed like that. The set was as follows:
Bombtrack
Testify
Bulls On Parade
People Of The Sun
Bullet In The Head
Know Your Enemy
Born Of A Broken Man
Guerilla Radio
Ashes In The Fall
Calm Like A Bomb
Sleep Now In The Fire
Wake Up
Encore:
Freedom/Township Rebellion
Killing In The Name
During Wake Up Zach gave a long speech ridiculing Bush and Blair and during Snitf there was a break down section where he did some improv. The suprise best song was ashes in the fall which has a great bass line which got the crowd going and the band seemed to get really into it aswell. // 10
Impression: The show was played on friday 22nd August, the first day of reading festival. Overall it was the best Live show I've ever seen with rage putting on a superb performance with the crowd jumping like crazy to every song. There were loads of of other bands playing as it was a festival, the best being Queens Of The Stone Age and Biffy Clyro Who did a great job in warming up the crowd for rage. I would recommend seeing rage live to anyone they are fantastic live!! // 10
