Sound: 3rd show of the tour, and by the sounds of things, Rammstein are already back into touring again, they sounded awesome, even when they didn't, like "fruhling in paris" (see below to understand what I mean). Pyrotechnics went off without a hitch and instruments and singer sounded awesome. Altough, at times, during the solo for Du Hast for example, the keyboard was very difficult to hear. // 9
Perfomance: By the sounds of the audience during the Encore break, I'm assuming they liked it.
03. Waidmanns Heil
04. Keine Lust
05. Weisses Fleisch
06. Feuer Frei
07. Wiener Blut
08. Frhling in Paris
09. Ich Tu Dir Weh
10. Liebe Ist Fr Alle Da
12. Links 2-3-4
13. Du Hast
17. Ich Will
First pyrotechnic effect of the show that came up was the flamethowers during the bridge to Waidmanns heil, and they were hotter than what I was expecting. Keinelust had the usualy CO2 cannons. Weisses fleisch had nothing, sadly. Feuer Frei has the flamethower masks (I forget the technical names). Weiner Blut had the creepiesnt stage set-up, it had dolls hanging from the ceiling above the stage with green lasers shooting from their eyes, they blew up at the end of the song. Fruhling in Paris simply had s hanging light bulb over the band...the electric cut out during this song though, which annoyed Till, During this song, the backdrop fell to reveal the rest of the stage. Ich Tu Dir Weh had explosives around the drumkit during the intro. Till and Flake got into a "Fight" during the middle, Till threw flake into a bath, ontop of which he poured sparks. Benzin had flames shoot into the air whenever benzin was said during the chorus and till had a flamethower for the final chrosu (disguised as a petrol pump). Links 2-3-4 had the usualy explosives at the beginning and the back and forth singing to build up to the solo. Du hast was fairly similar to the 2004/2005 tour, it had flamethowers during the chrous, and, except of using the cross bow at the end of the bridge, till had a pair of binoculars, which shot a firework to a pole in the middle of the arena, which then shot more fireworks to the top of the stage, which caused a waterfall of sparks as flames rised up from the stage, it's a blink and you miss it moment. Pussy had a phallic shaped foam cannon and, similar to amerika during the last tour, confetti shooting up into the air, black yellow and red confetti ("GERMANY!). Sonne was similar to the last tour, except on the square light things (you know what I mean) it had the numbers o them during the chorus (1, 2, 3...). Ich Will was, again, the same as the previous tour. Seeman returned to the set, and flake returned to performing the boat stunt. Engel closed the show, for the keyboard solo, Schneider speeded up the drums a little bit.
The stage it's self was essentialy a lower version of the previous tour stage, with an elevator in the middle of the stage to get down to the center door. The show starts with a normal backdrop, a big black one with what appears to be cuts in it. During fruhling In Paris, this backdrop falls to reveal the second one, a more industrial backdrop with the main lighting gantries. The lighting was in the form of big jet engines, which move about similar to the backing light gantry of the previous tour.
Sidenote: When I say "The Previous Tour", Check the volkerball DVD to see what I mean, As I'm referencing the stage set up and effects that were used during that tour. // 10
Overall Impression: The show was at the Pavello Olimpic in Badalona, the northern part of Barcelona, on the 12th of November.
The support act was combichrist and they were very energetic. I'm not sure about the res of the crowd, But I really enjoyed them (For people that want to know, there set was: All Pain Is Gone, Get Your Body Beat, Blut Royale, What The **** Is Wrong With You, and Kickstart The Fight). I loved all the show, the only things I hated, which were my fault, Forgetting to go to the toilet as the show started, and getting there too early because I Mistook 17:45 for 19:45 on the tickets.
Tickets were 43, And It was well worth the price. The most unforgettable moment was either the pyrotechnic effects during Ich Tu Dir Weh,The phallic Foam Cannon or the entire crowd fistpumping to the intro of Rammlied. I will be going to Rammsteins next gig in Barcelona hopefully.
To sum up, if you ever get the chance to see Rammstein Live, DO IT! // 10
