At least half of the time, these guys simply didn't look like they were having fun. They didn't go over the top.

Sound: The Chili Peppers have good sound quality at their concerts. I noticed that Flea was using GK amps/cabs and John was using some marshall stacks. Flea used his usual modulus basses and once a Musicman stingray, John used a Gibson (I think I was an E333) and Fender Strats and I think a tele once. All the tunings were regular EADGBE (guitar) and EADG (bass)(DADG for By The Way). // 10

Perfomance: I cant remember exactly what songs they played but highlights were:
01. By The Way - 10/10
02. Scar Tissue - 9/10
03. Paralell Universe - 10/10
04. Give It Away 10/10!
05. Under The Bridge - 11/10
06. Purple Stain - 10/10
07. Power Of Equality 10/10
08. Pea - 1111/10)
09. Around The World - 10/10
John used a freakin pedal garden there and Flea used distortion for Around The World. And those of you Who know Flea, you know he puts on a energetic show!
// 10

Impression: This show was in Edmonton Alberta (don't remeber date) (as it says on the title). The opening band was "Mike Watt" and Flea jammed on trumpet with them and later came John and Chad (no Anthony though). If they ever come back I'm gona get some tickets for me and my friends. If you read the other guy's review of the RHCP, don't trust all of it, as a bassist/guitarest/long time musician, I can say this was musically one of the best concerts I've been to in a while. // 10

berteth :
hmmm....from the songs you listed it doesnt sound very good...no offence but their new stuff(from califorication, and by the way) isnt very good...it doesnt have that funk sound that most of their previous albums have...from hearing the single "Dani Califoria" im not looking forward to their new album(Stadium Arcadium)....maybe they are bringing some of their old roots back? who knows...i just hope that most of their new songs will have a more funk sound than rock
