Sound: Simply amazing. Overall, I would have to say they sound better in concert than on their CD. With Flea's bass lines and John Fruciante's simple yet impressive sound, they were able to bring together a great performance. Every member of RHCP are one of the best at their instruments. // 8
Perfomance: They put together a set including songs from their new album, Stadium Arcadium, and also other hits from older albums. They reconstructed their 1991 New Orleans tribute, "Apache Rose Peacock" and John Frusciante sang and strummed a solo "City of New Orleans." Some songs from older albums such as, "By The Way" and "Californication" were a refreshing thing to hear to remind us of the old RHCP. Including an Encore performance of "Under The Bride." Some of the songs from their new album such as "Dani California", "Charlie", "Tell Me Baby", and "Hump de Bump" sounded great and was amazing to watch being performed. Feaa and John did a breif solo together that was a suprise to everyone on just how talanted they are. // 10
Impression: Voodoo Music Fest. USA, New Orleans, City Park, 10/28/06. Some of the other bands included Blue October, My Chemical Romance, Duran Duran, and The Flaming Lips. I loved how we could walk to one of the 5 stages. At any one time, 3 bands would be performing. Howeer, there is one thing I did not like, which was the constant aot smoking going on, and the large crowds. We got the LOA tickets for about $300 each, that included a VIP room, special seating area, and free drinks. Regular ticket were $60. This concert was definatly worth the money. Some of the most memorable moments was when somebody threw a joint on the stage to the lead singer of Brazillan Girls. She smoked it and passed it to her bandmates. Another thing is the merchandise was good value. They sold concert t-shirts, hats, jackets, ect. Also band merchandise. // 8
