Sound: The band itself was great, but as soon as they walked on stage you could tell Aaron really didn't want to be there. The other guys in the band looked like they were having a blast, though, and sounded great. If Aaron actually wanted to play that night then I'd give them a 5 overall for sound. But he was messing up words and wasn't putting his heart into singing or playing, so a lower score it is. // 8
Perfomance: They played half a set due to Aaron's Axl Rose impression. Whatever it was that was bothering HIM, it interfered with his ability to put on a decent show. During the last song they played ("Good Thing Going") he decided to smash his guitar on the stage and destroy some microphone stands, then after finishing singing the song he stormed off stage, which prompted Scott to aplogize on behalf of the band. I have a feeling, judging by how the rest of the band performed, that this would've been a good show had Aaron not thrown a childish temper tantrum. The hissy fit is why the rating isn't that great had a lot of disappointed fans that evening. // 4
Impression: This was at Club Tundra in Syracuse, NY on November 13, 2004. The openers were Littlest Man Band, which is a side project of a couple RBF members. They seriously rocked! They're definitely the best opening act I've ever seen. They were followed by Melee, Who were okay. I think this was their first big tour or something because they seemed a little nervous onstage, especially in between numbers (the constant repeating of "We're Melee, we're from Orange County, California" leads me to believe this). Tickets were $17 at the door. Littlest Man Band alone was worth the money headliner wasn't. Which is sad, because I hate to see the rest of the band have to deal with the lead singer's immarture doings. It's not their fault Aaron thought he was Axl Rose that evening. I might go see them again if Aaron can keep his temper under control this time. // 6
