Sound: I have recently been able to see one of my favourite bands live. I saw Rush at Darien Lake and they sounded absolutly amazing. They sounded just like the recordings, they were so amazing. I noticed that the singer Geddy Lee have changed a lot vocally. His voice sounds lower then it used to, but I think he still sounds amazing. The instruments sounded amazing, Alex Lifeson sounded the best when was useing his Les Paul. Geddy Lee used only two bass's and they were both Fender Jazz basses. Neil Peart's drums are amazing. There's so many drums on it. // 10
Perfomance: This concert was the best one I have ever been to. I loved it Rush is amazing. I believe that Rush is the greatest band ever. When Rush came on the stage I was supprised to hear them come out and open with Limelight. Limelight is my favourite song so I was going crazy when I heard it. They played a lot of there songs from there new CD, I would of rathered them to just play a few of those songs but I prefer the older songs a lot more. From there new CD they plaed songs like Far Cry, Armor and Sword, Hope, The main monkey business and Malignant Narcissism. These are my favourite songs from there latest album so I was extremly happy when I heard them. They also played a lot of there older songs which was the best part of the show. There songs that they played were Limelight, Freewill, Distant Early Warning, Tom Sawyer, Dreamline, Our little victory, YYZ, Passage to Bangkok and they played older songs that I have never even heard of. When they played these older songs that's when the crowd was most crazy, The people including me loved the older songs much more then the new songs. One the stage Rush had chicken roasters on stage with them. Every so often someone would come out in a chef hat and check on the chicken. For almost every songs they had videos prepared to show on the screen. The best video was when they had the south park kids(Cartmen, Stan, Kyle and Kenny) try to play Tom Sawyer. This led to Rush playing Tom Sawyer. During the encore they played Our Little Victory I like when they play this song live because they have video of a dragon and they make it look like he's causeing all of the fire on stage. // 10
Impression: This concert was on July 4th at Darien Lake in the United States Of America. Rush did the whole show by themselves there was no opener for them. I loved the whole show every thing was in my opinion amazing, there was nothing about the show thta I didn't enjoy. This show was defently worth the money. The ticket cost about one hundren dollars and I was pretty close to the stage. I will never forget any of the show, it was all unforgetable. I plan on going to two more shows that are comming up. I plan on going to the Toronto show and London show. // 10
