Sound: Gary Lightbody has an absolutely amazing voice. But he spent most of this concert letting the audience sing. It was great to hear his belfast accent coming through in his lyrics. They are a very guitar based band, not very technical though. Lightbody and Nathan Connolly both played brilliantly. Every song sounded the way it should. The bassist Paul Wilson played fine but doesn't stand out in the songs. Overall the sound was amazing. // 10
Perfomance: Judging by the audience singing every single line of every song it was clear they enjoyed them. Every song was greeted with cheers and ended with more applause and cheers. Everyone enjoyed the songs. During hands open, Lightbody climbed off the stage and stood on the front barrier. The whole crowd moved to get closer. He stayed there singing for most of the song. The lighting used was great and added to the music well. // 10
Impression: Northern Ireland, Belfast, Ulster Hall, 8th May. The two openers were Desert Hearts and the really strange Red Organ Serpent Sound. I loved the whole performance and singing along with the crowd. I didn't like the constant stream of people trying to get past me but that's to be expected really. The ticket cost just under £20 and it was well worth it. The most unforgettable moment was when Gary Lightbody climbed onto the barrier or when they played Run. The crowd reaction was truly amazing. I would love to see them again. // 10
