All the bands on this tour were amazing. The lights and decorations were very professional. Almost every band had their own colourful backdrop.

Sound: Sounds Of The Underground was the best metal concert ever that came to Vancouver. All the guitar, bass amps, and drums were miked to the PA system, so the bass and drums were overpowering the guitar. But everything was still there, and everyone enjoyed, and stayed 'till the end. All the bands on this tour were amazing. No one made a single mistake in playing or singing (not that I know of, anyways), the only problem was the EQ in PA. // 8

Perfomance: As the tour is named Sounds Of The Underground, everysingle metal heads in Vancouver showed up, and everyone enjoyed the moshing, surfing, and just beating the hell outta each other (this one hot girl was crowd surfing, then her skirt ripped, and later on, she was walking around with her undies). Although all the bands were talented, the highlights were All That Remains, Madball, Throwdown (they played Roots Bloody Roots), Strapping Young Lad, GWAR, Unearth, Chimaira, and of course Lamb Of God!

All That Remains played first, but the singer dude's stage presence was just heavy. Going into their second song, he was stage diving and everyone was moshing. And that was the first hour of this 12 hour concert (the bassist was sick, so the guitarist from Unearth was filling in his spot).

Madball played second, and they provided everyone with their fist pounding, but catchy riffs, and they left everyone wanting for more.

After some 4-5 crappy bands, Strapping Young Lad came on and every single person in the pit went wild. Since Strapping Young Lad was from Vancouver, and they were pumping the crowd with funny comments like "we own you, we posess you, now go buy a t-shirt and f--k us."

Then, after a band or two, GWAR gave us an awesome performance. Since GWAR took 25 minutes just to set up the stage, everyone was expecting lots. Well, GWAR was just wacky. It started from a man wearing Geoarge Bush mask getting decapitated, to the singer shooting coloured water out of his penis water gun, just wakcy and hilarious. O, and the GWAR's singer had some wacky sense of humour. He said that he spreads aids, and everyone who heard his voice that day would have aids.

After GWAR were the main bands, and Unearth started it off. Their mix of Europian metal and American metal was more than enough to create almost a Wall Of Death like circling pit, and everyone enjoyedit.

Clutch was crap and Chimaira was the second last band to play. From the songs I don't know to Power Trip, everyone was singing along, and surfing. It was just amazing.

At 9:50 pm, the band everyone was waiting for came on. Lamb Of God! Earlier on, more than 200 people lined up (including me) just to meet, greet, and get stuff signed by Lamb Of God, so I realized the great fan base of Lamb Of God. Well the performance was just awesome. The guys got out their Mesa stacks, Killadelphia backdrop, themselves, and rocked the place out of there. Everyone sang along the choruses and yell outs, and it was an amazing sight. In 'Now You've Got Something To Die' everysingle person screamed the chorus. Their set ended with Black Label, and I was almost crying cause it was the best day of my life! Randy Blythe of LOB went about guys wearing White belts, and told them to throw the belts on to the stage. Then he also said that the girlfriends of those guys are not getting what they deserve, so they should hook up with him. He also called the people on the seats 'Whipped Pussies,' and encouraged them to join in the pit.

The lights and decorations were very professional. Almost every band had their own colourful backdrop. // 10

Impression: -This was the first Sounds of the Underground tour ever, in Canada. it was in Vancouver, BC, Pacific Coliseum, July 26th. I loved everything about the show, but I hated everything about the venue. They didn't let me bring any food inside the arena, so I had to pay $4 CAN for hotdogs and $2 CAN for pop. The tickets were $45 CAN, but considering how long it was, and how many amaizing bands played, it was worth it. And we got free CDs, like Arch Enemy singles, and Metal Blade Sampler (a full CD of metal blade bands). There weren't any nude girls, so that sucked, but the concert was amaizing, so I'll definitely go to this tour or any Strapping Young Lad, All That Remains, Unearth, or Lamb Of God concert, when they come here again. // 10
