Sound: The band were on top form. They played phenominally well. The new mix of material was a welcome thing too! Having rarities like Pictures of Matchstick Men, Ice In The Sun and Mean Girl in there were just great to experience. I was only disappointed that things like the Mystery Medley and Gerdundula were missing from the set. It felt unholy to be without them!

Thier set went something like this;
01. Caroline
02. Something 'bout You Baby I Like
03. Rain
04. Don't Drive My Car
05. Mean Girl
06. Softer Ride
07. Beginning Of The End
08. Hold You Back
09. Proposin' Medley (What You're Proposing/Down The Dustpipe/Little Lady/Red Sky/Dear John)
10. Big Fat Mama
11. Pictures Of Matchstick Men
12. Ice In The Sun
13. The Oriental
14. Creepin' Up On You
15. Living On An Island
16. In The Army Now
17. Drum Solo
18. Roll Over Lay Down
19. Down Down
20. Whatever You Want
21. Rockin' All Over The World
Encore:
22. Paper Plane
23. Junior's Wailing
24. Rock 'n' Roll Music/Bye Bye Johnny // 10

Perfomance: The entire spectacle was awe-inspiring. Seriously. As if the band themselves weren't enough to blow you away, the stage set up was phenominal. There were a great number of strobe-effect lights, three giant screens that were used to portray something to do with the song that was currently being played (for example, in Pictures of Matchstick Men, the screens showed hippy-trippy colours that represented the 60's - the time when the song was originally released.

The lighting really showed off when Matt Letley was taking his drum solo. The strobes went insane! Plus, we were right near the stage - almost close enough to reach out and drag the band off the stage. Being that close, it's hard not to be blown away by every little detail... // 10

Impression: The gig was on the 17th of December 2009 - a very cold day. If I remember rightly, it was fairly icey outside and my friend Greg slipped straight on his arse while passing a water fountain. It was a great night. The tickets cost around £35, but it was well worth it. The merchandising was good too, if not a little expensive. I bought a shirt thier for £10, which isn't too bad, I guess.

They had a support act on with them, called Carousel Vertigo - they were very AC/DC. Quite good. My girlfriend was saying to me whilst the support act was on... "Ouch, they're a bit loud... Hurting my ears!" She hadn't heard how loud Quo would be at that point... I've currently made plans to see them again at King Georges Hall on the 3rd of December. Looks like another review will be popping up shortly - watch this space! // 10
