The audience was into this every step of the way. The band was great sounding, but there really wasn't that much in the way of moving around from them.

Sound: Admittedly, I'm not a super fan of all the Tragically Hip albums. However, this show blew me away. Every song was so full of energy and the lead guitarist gave a much better performance than on any of the albums. The crowd was so energetic it was amazing. The guitars sang all night long, and the vocals were simply fantastic, as not one word sounded out of place. The drums and bass were solid as well, but the guitars and vocals were the standouts of the band. // 10

Perfomance: The audience was into this every step of the way. The band was great sounding, but there really wasn't that much in the way of moving around from them. Gordon Downie (the singer) was the only one to really provide a little bit of dancing around, but they still interacted nicely with the audience. The biggest hits of the night were "Vaccination Scar" (mostly just because it opened the concert and everyone really was energetic waiting for them), "Courage", "At The Hundredth Meridian", "New Orleans Is Sinking", and "Ahead By A Century". The complete set list went like this though: 01. Vaccination Scar 02. Grace, Too 03. Poets 04. It's A Good Life If You Don't Weaken 05. Summer's Killing Us 06. Courage 07. Bobcaygeon 08. Nautical Disaster 09. It Can't Be Nashville Every Night 10. Boots Or Hearts 11. Inevitability Of Death 12. Gus: The Polar Bear From Central Park 13. At The Hundredth Meridian 14. As Makeshift As We Are 15. Springtime In Vienna 16. Goodnight Josephinne 17. My Music At Work 18. New Orleans Is Sinking 1st Encore: 19. You're Everywhere 20. Ahead By A Century 21. Blow At High Dough 2nd Encore: 22. Fully, Completely 23. Heaven Is A Better Place Today The lights were great, and it was just too much fun. The only bad thing was a drunk guy behind me tripped over the chairs and cracked his face open, but otherwise, it was fantastic. // 10

Overall Impression: Canada, Vancouver BC, GM Place, November 14th. A band called "The Joel Plaskett Emergency" opened the night, but they weren't that good except for the singer/guitarist. They were just like any old modern rock band (think Default, but less heavy). There were 3 things I hated: 1) the afforementioned drunk guy, 2) everyone blowing marijuana smoke everywhere, and 3) the dipshits behind us telling us to sit down when everyone else was standing. However, as you can tell, those had nothing to do with the band. Everything about the band I loved from start to finish. The tickets cost $45.50 and I'd gladly pay that to go see them again. One of the most unforgettable moments was a bum outside afterwards strumming a guitar and singing "F--k you for not giving me change" over and over oh and the funny drunk guys behind us. I will definately see them the next time they are in town. // 10
