also, you can tune your high E to the 3rd fret on the B string. (and don't finger it for the D chord) also, if anybody didn't know, the chords for the intro are G, C9, D. Finger the chords and you don't have to move your fingers (except when you change chords)

There are more than one strumming patterns that can be used for this song. the easiest being {d,d,u,u,d,u} which a lot'a Ppl have posted already. But the one I find sounding great is the alternating pattern of {d,d,d,u,u - u,d,d,u,u}. Although, its not the same one used in the song it sounds great and is not that hard to sing along with. \m/ Great job with the tab btw \m/ ....surprised there arent as many enthusiastic fans trying to tab JJ songs.

Nice tab! Give it a 5 :)If there is any mistakes, it`s easy to figure them out for our selves The only thing I miss is the chord changes listed ower the picking pattern. Thou,you don`t have to pick this song all the way with normal fingerpicking. You may also appedgiate (Is this how to spell it?) the chords. That means strumming in a sertain patern and hitting the different strings and the right keys/notes during the strumming. It`s harder to ecsplain than doing :)

It's a good tab. I don't see anything wrong with it except the fact that the chord played in the strumming part atleast is a Dsus4. For those who don't know the chord here it is

Wowbagger is right about the plucking in the strumming. It isn't too hard to figure out, but when you listen to the strumming bits he picks a couple strings as well. Also, when you're strumming, mute the high E string (thin one) with your left hand, because only the E(low),A,D,G, and B strings are played. Somebody else said it but I'll repeat it, on the very last strum (one in the outro), if you listen he only hits 5 strings. Sounds better, and also it doesn't matter if you use D or Dsus4 because you shouldn't be playing the high E string anyway.

Dont know where my comment ends up, top or bottom. But if anybody reads it. The reason you use G9 even though you are only playing a G is simple. It makes it that much faster to move to C9 if your fingers are already on the fretboard.

also u have a Cadd9 not a C9 because there is no 7 in the chord being played

If you watch them do it live there is actually 2 different guitar parts but the other guitar player is out stage. billy joe does the finger picking until he starts to sing then the other guitar does the intro and billy starts strumming so u might want to watch them do it live and add both parts to the tab =)

If you think its wrong, listen to the lyrics at the end and they are the same as the chorus so the guitar bit should be too.

Nice. I think it sounds better if you use chords that are a little different; Dsus4 (xx0233) and Em7 (022033) instead of D and Em. Good job though :)
