+9   March 28 2012, 07:16 pm by ProtestPirate |
The real chord order is

G D Em C

Haven't played it along with the recording because its awful but it sounds right when I sing it.

Oh god this made me laugh so hard.

"G Em C D
^ The whole song "

Golden, purely golden.

yeah i have to agree with @Kateigh.....you can't put that on a tab, its lazy, yet it gets to number 7 ??

This is an awful tab, really poor. chords are definitely wrong and its not the same progression throughout...anyone with an ear can tell that !!

Shame aswell I like the song

These chords sound fine to me and yes, I did play along with the song
+3   May 5 2012, 11:15 pm by Pianosalmon |
The chords are technically correct.

Harmonically - it would still sound fine for the melody if you're singing, but the original has different chord progressions hence why it doesn't sound that great (with the track). But hey, if you want to sound different, that's your choice :P

These chords do sound ok but the sequence: G D Em C sounds a little better. Either way sounds ok though!! :)

Does anyone ever notice that the most popular pop singers such as Justin Bieber, Carly Rae Jepsen, etc. always have 4 chords in their entire song? Coincidence? I think not!!! No talent!!! :(

It's not just in pop music mate

Hey, can I ask what the strumming pattern is?
March 5 2013, 04:35 pm by acemcguire |
the verse is C D Em D
Chorus is G D CC C GG D CC (follows the keyboard part)
March 21 2013, 12:43 pm by joshbell127 |
Yeah, I know. I'm a Christian Contemporary song writer and most of my songs are simple as well. But, I at least mix up the order somewhere and use more than 4 chords.
March 25 2013, 01:56 am by devilseed018 |
what is the strumming pattern ?
+1   April 14 2013, 11:38 am by theridmonster |
Actually, it's totally wrong. I can hear things by ear, and the correct one is Cadd9, G, Em7 D/F#(you can also just usa\e a normal D). and if you want ti a bit darker, then you have capo on 3rd : E C#m A B

Call Me Maybe Carly Rae Jepsen

Cadd9 G Dsus
I threw a wish in the well
Em7 Cadd9
Don't ask me, I'll never tell
G Dsus
I looked at you as it fell

And now you're in my way
Cadd9 G Dsus
I'd trade my soul for a wish
Em7 Cadd9
Pennies and dimes for a kiss
G Dsus
I wasn't looking for this

But now you're in my way

Cadd9 G Dsus
Your stare was holding, ripped jeans - skin was showin'
Em7 Cadd9
Hot night, wind was blowin'
G Dsus
Where you think you're going, baby?

C G D Em C
Hey I just met you and this is crazy
G D
But here's my number - so, call me maybe?
C G D Em C
It's hard to look right at you, baby
G D
But here's my number - so, call me maybe?
C G D Em C
Hey, I just met you and this is crazy
G D
But here's my number - so, call me maybe?
C G D Em C
And all the other boys try to chase me
G D
But here's my number - so, call me maybe?
Cadd9 G Dsus4
You took your time with the call
Em7 Cadd9
I took no time with the fall
G Dsus4
You gave me nothing at all

But still you're in my way
Cadd9 G Dsus4
I beg and borrow and steal
Em7 Cadd9
Have foresight and it's real
G Dsus4
I didn't know I would feel it

But it's in my way

(repeat prechorus and double chorus)

C G D
Before you came into my life
Em C G D
I missed you so bad, I missed you so bad
C
I missed you so, so bad
G D
Before you came into my life
Em C G D
I missed you so bad and you should know that

I missed you so, so bad

Cadd9 G D Em C G D

Cadd9 G Dsus Em7 Cadd9
It's hard to look right at you, baby
G Dsus
But here's my number - so, call me maybe?

(repeat single chorus)

(repeat full bridge)
