theres a point in the song where he picks up the scale so the "this is easy as lovers go.." part is played as D A G Em etc. which isnt in the tab so...

Good and bad. first of all, the chords are really hard to read when they are under the lyrics. but otherwise this isn't such a bad tab.

SOMEONE PLEASE CHANGE IT
March 12 2007, 11:11 pm by phaminshamin |
So as XxDontxWaitXx requested somebody to re-edit this with the chords above the lyrics, I didn't know where to put it since this isn't my tab so I guess I'll just re-edit it in the comments. This is a great tab, I juts couldn't read it and for those who couldn't, I guess it'll be easier by this comment.

-Verse-
C Am
she said "i've gotta be honest,
F C
you're wasteing your time if you're fishing round here."
C Am
and i said "you must be mistaken,
F C
cause i'm not fooling...this feeling is real"
C Am
she said "you gotta be crazy,
Am F C
what do you take me for...some kind of easy mark?"
C Am
you've got wits...you've got looks,
Am F C
you've got passion but i swear that you've got me all wrong.

-Bridge-

C Am
all wrong.
Am G
all wrong.
G
but you got me...

-Chorus-

C F
i'll be true, i'll be useful...
F Am F
i'll be cavalier...i'll be yours my dear.
F Dm
and i'll belong to you...
Dm Bb
if you'll just let me through.
C G F
this is easy as lovers go,
F Dm F G
so don't complicate it by hesitating.
C G F
and this is wonderful as loving goes,
F Dm Bb
this is telling me 'whats the sense in waiting?'

-Verse-

C Am
and i said "i've gotta be honest
Am F C
i've been waiting for you all my life."
C Am
for so long i thought i was a silent bound,
Am F C
but just seeing you makes me think twice.
C Am
and being with you here makes me sane,
Am F C
i fear i'll go crazy if you leave my side.
C Am
you've got wits...you've got looks,
Am F C
you've got passion but are you brave enough to leave with me tonight?

-Bridge-

C Am
tonight.
Am G
tonight.
G
but you've got me...

-Chorus-

C F
i'll be true, i'll be useful...
F Am F
i'll be cavalier...i'll be yours my dear.
F Dm
and i'll belong to you...
Dm Bb
if you'll just let me through.
C G F
this is easy as lovers go,
F Dm F G
so don't complicate it by hesitating.
C G F
and this is wonderful as loving goes,
F Dm Bb
this is telling me 'whats the sense in waiting?
D A G
this is easy as lovers go,
G Em G A
so don't complicate it by hesitating.
D A G
and this is wonderful as loving goes,
G Em C
this is telling me 'whats the sense in waiting?

Err sorry about that, I'd thought it'll have all the spacing but guess not. Sorry.

me) who dont know all the really complicated chords or have...lost their Capo :S

i found that it made much more sense to play F instead of Bb for the whole song, easier too. also the bridge sounds
better as C,Am,Am,C,Dm; but idk if that's how it's played by dashboard or not

ok, GREAT GREAT tab!! the only thing that i need to correct is the bridge. when i play it the way you said to, it sounds
weird. it doesnt sound anything like the bridge in the song. so i think that it sould go

C Am
all wrong (then
these chords) ---|---|---| ---|---|---|
---|---|---| -x-|---|---|

---|-x-|---| ---|---|---|
---|---|-x-| ---|-x-|---|

---|---|-x-| ---|-x-|---|
-x-|---|---| ---|---|---|
then repeat
it. then when it says "got me..." as in "but you got me..." do a Bb chord. then enter the chorus. if that makes sense.
sorry about the lack of chord names for the two chords i tabbed out. i have no idea what any chord names are. thats what
i get for teaching myself! :P great tab tho

Let's clear everything up:

1. Yes, this should be tuned down half a step (someone made that comment already)
2. The Bb chord is correct.
3. The Bridge should be Am until he changes to Am/D (x00210) on "got", which leads us to...
4. All the Dm chords are in fact Am/D
5. The final chorus in the new key repeats, and on the final repeat he ends with: What's the [C] sense of [A]waiting[D] (Good ol' V-I Authentic Cadence)
6. Lyrics... "this is tailor made" NOT "this is telling me". And "for so long I thought I was asylum-bound" NOT "for so long I thought I was a silent bound"

Other than that, nice work :)

Great tab, I love playing this song. Personally I play F - C - Dm during the bridge, instead of (C -) Am - G - G. Think it sounds more correct.

try it 1/2 step down. i think it sounds better. but excellent job
