there is no E...that is D(openE) or as stated above, Dsus2. Or are you talking about the Em6 because that sounds right to me

Most of it is right. The Em6 you are describing is really an Em7 though but i think just a plain Em sounds even better. Some are questioning the Dsus2 but i believe that is right as well.

It's not how it goes, but I like to play this instead of Em7 or Em6:

G-7
D-5

lift from G string and slide up two frets (during the "paeeeeain" and back before going to A. Adds a lot to it if playing solo on acoustic.
