this song is pretty much right but in the chorus at the second line it actually goes F#m E D E......it goes with his voice better. Other than that its a great song

I agree with the poster above. It goes better but your way is fine to. And I can FINALLY listen to it without crying. Took a while, but I did it =)

My sister was diagnosed with lung cancer when she was 19, and this song always made me think of her and how she went through these things. Now 2 years after beating it she was re-diagnosed. Only this time she has her "true love" there to root her on! He even shaved his head with her!

I can't believe the last comment was almost 4 years ago, on such a good song as well. It has become the only song that ever makes me cry and for It to be one of Rascal Flatts lesser known songs honestly does confuse me. Great tab, I love the progression from F#m to E to Bm to E :3

I wouldn't really say the song is sad as much as it is happy. It's telling the story of a girl that yes, has cancer, but is still loved by a boy that can put the fact that she has no hair aside and take her to the prom. I think it's a beautiful song and yes, I too am a guy and got teary eyed while listening and playing it.
I can see why people say it's sad, and I understand. But if you look at it this way, it doesn't seem so bad :)

These are really good. I just wanted to add that instead of the A/G, an A7 works just as fine right? Because I'm finding the A/G difficult... :P
