i just think that sounds cool, it's not in the song or anything, but if you were covering it with your band live or something, you could throw this in to make it your own song.
I think the ending is a million times easier playing D-chords. I think you did it your way because you thought the D was supposed to ring but I don't think it does.

I should note that in my correction above, this is only used once during the time the lyrics written beneath it are used, and also I meant to take out the "bend 2nd time" text.
MatrixBaller04 did you even look at this tab. The guy in the video plays almost EXACTLY what is written in this tab. And the parts where he plays something different is the same notes just on a different string.
This tab is definitely missing stuff. Tool almost never uses "effects" so anything that resembles a note is probably played by a guitar or base and anything scratchy is probably the guitar PMing. But the main parts seem right.
LOL ... Tool 'almost never uses "effects", Really now? Adam is more amazing than I thought he was! Youre right its probably played by the BASE..
Theres a lot missing from this tab, but it helped out some as well.. when the wah starts in the solo, its played only on the low D string.. then the rest down on the 10th 12th, 13th and 15th, as pointed out by thunder
Very good tab, the things that are missing are something even a noob could work out so stop complaining :) and lol @ ppl who cant spell bass properly and think Adam barely ever uses any effects, laughable really haha
k.
about the bend: it sounds to me like a tremolo, or a pedal effect. a bend that fast would be very hard.

a 12h13 works too.

Note the usage of the third fret.
Mean tab derd.
Check out this
vid...This guy plays the song perfect and if you follow the tabs to what he is playing you will see everything that is
missing.

And theres no THIRD FRET usage until the chorus
Great tab btw.
