I just cannot hear the stuff thats tabbed out apart from the other stuff, which seems to sound better anyway. Iv been caught here for a long time, i kinda just leave it and come back but never make any progress... anybody have some tips for helping me learn this part, iv got eveything up to it just about flawless.

That is how I play the end of the first solo, its like an arpeggiated bar chord, just bar the 7th fret on the first 3 strings and its pretty easy.

It seems that a lot of people are having problems with this passage, me included. It just doesnt fit properly.. Its missing a least two notes. Try this:

Tune up to your tuner (if you must),then listen to song your gonna learn. You already know its in standard tuning but sounds different? Tune slightly up or down until youre the same. Its not rocket science. Peace

From what I can see and hear form the video, and from what I heard on their last sunday show(Yes, I saw them Live!) different riff on the second time(But it is actually not the case on the CD)

On the left side of each bar, you made the top three strings lowercase letters. It should only be the high e string. :)

You play them like power chords, but your index finger must only touch the D string, without pressing it on the fret. It'll mute the string and you won't hear it at all.

The acoustic guitar has been removed on the backing track, and we can clearly hear that James quickly play the open B string before the hammer-on, like that:
