I think there could be a quick D after each of the C's on each chorus.
I think there is a C chord and a D chord within one bar.
I'm not 100% certain on this but does anyone agree with me?
+1   November 18 2008, 12:02 pm by Poppelmonde |
is there a specific strumming?
so yes, can someone give it please?
+2   December 19 2008, 02:17 pm by djurmaine |
in the bridge i prefer:

Em D (instead of Am) =)
People talk about the guy
C
Whos waiting on a girl...

but the chords are great! 5 stars!

awesome!

Cool, i think this sounds alright with the song playing along with it.
Anyone know a strumming pattern?

A strumming pattern to this song is now posted in my blog in my profile so check it out

I personally think the bridge part is wrong. It should be ::

Em C
People talk about the guy
D
Whos waiting on a girl...
C
Oohoohwoo

Em C
There no hole in his shoes
D
But a big hole in his world...
C
Hmmmm

C D
Maybe I'll get famous as man who can't be moved,
C D
And maybe you won't mean to but you'll see me on the news,
C D
And you'll come running to the corner...
Am
Cos you'll know it's just for you

I'm the man who can't be moved
C
I'm the man who can't be moved...

it's D/F# not F#/D

The Bridge chords for the capo at 3 should be Em Cmaj7(with an added 9 if you wanted to be picky!) D and Am7. These are played as simple appeggios by a second guitar while the main guitar part plays something else which I've added elsewhere.

I think the bridge should be:

People talk about the guy.... Em,Am,C [2x]
And maybe i get famous... C,D [3x]
Cos you'll know it's just... Am

Great chords!

I think you mad a mistake in the line: Policeman says son you cant stay here. You missed out the last (e) in here but other than that it is PERFECT!!!
January 27 2010, 02:17 pm by bassguitarplaye |
G D/F#
Going back to the corner where I first saw you,
C C
Gonna camp in my sleeping bag not I'm not gonna move,
G D/F#
Got some words on cardboard got your picture in my hand,
C C
Saying if you see this girl can you tell her where I am,
G D/F#
Some try to hand me money they don't understand,
C C
I'm not... broke I'm just a broken hearted man,
G D/F#
I know it makes no sense, but what else can I do,
C C
How can I move on when I've been in love with you...

There is no Am in any of the verses. Only the chorus. The bridge is Em C D Am, Em C D Am, C D, C D, C, D, Am

I teach guitar and learn songs for a living. Please consider these changes as I am 100% sure they are correct. Thanks!

D,D,U,U,D,U,D,U with a palm mute sounds good on acoustic. Be sure to hit the low notes on downs and the high on ups. (Duh but i know it helps new people) :)

I also like the double C thing.
Verse
G F#/D C Cadd9 C Cadd9

I add nine on the U,D,U parts of the C sections.

Fantastic. Been wanting to play this song for a while but not sure where to start but this has been a great help thanks! :-)

A/F should be F/A, play and F chord with an A in the bass. This is easy to remember by thinking "F over A". Otherwise great chords, thanks!

I'm watching the version of this that was sung on the Voice.

Okay, we get it!
April 24 2013, 05:34 pm by emma.benson.522 |
the last note could be Am instead of D.. makes it sound more finished
May 14 2013, 07:16 am by twangist |
yep (F# is the lowest note)
The example tabbed is a Dsus4/F#
May 18 2013, 09:07 am by Sweetbilly |
Good tab you nailed it. I sing this song to my girl friend when she asks me to move so she can find the remote control...
+1   May 24 2013, 10:25 pm by AnnoyingXP |
the Am chord in the verses and chorus should be an Em7 chord instead:
(and the C could also be played as Cadd9)
Em7 Cadd9
e|-3----3-|
B|-3----3-|
G|-0----0-|
D|-2----2-|
A|-2----3-|
E|-0----x-|

I absolutely love the F#/D chord, at least paired with the style I play it in.
January 6 2014, 01:55 pm by jasminechiasson |
Pretty good! :) Maybe a little fixing but all in all awesome, the last note on the word move because it's the end of the song you strum once and go slower right? well that's what I do but anyway I thing insted of a 'D' chord it should be a 'G' chord but it,s just me so ya. :)
January 6 2014, 02:01 pm by jasminechiasson |
Ya I kinda agree...
January 10 2014, 02:46 pm by PeffieFish |
I'd take away some D's at the end of the sentences, I feel like they're not needed. Further great tab, thanks so much!
