For "I learned to live half a life," it should be Em D Bm A.
-9   November 11 2010, 10:37 am by breakinbenrules |
okay here's another correction. When she says "And tearing" it should be a Dmaj7 not a Gm. (:

the correction made is incorrect…sadly.

for "I learned to live half a life," should be Em C G D

have a nice day, and learn how to write chords. not hard.

put the capo on third and use these chords. wayy easier.
verse: Am C G Dm (F 2nd time)
prechorus: Dm F C G Dm F Bbsus
chorus: C G Am F (Fm) end with: C
bridge: Am (right hand) Walk down A, G#, G, F# (bass note) F E
outro: F G# D

@ user777, how do u do the bridge part of your version. I've tried to work it out but can't find a viable solution.
June 18 2011, 02:55 am by criz14 |
how is the strumming?
+1   July 3 2011, 04:50 am by JSFS |
@omnikajin: Simply play the Am chord note-by-note, starting with the high E string. Hope that helps. :)

@criz14: As for strumming, listen to the song to get the beat. You should be able to come up with something on your own.

Em G D A
I learned to live half a life
--
Em G D A
And now you want me one more time
--
Gm D
And tearing love apart
I'm not sure what the Gm is supposed to be, but it's not a Gm.

But Good job.. lol

Very good tab. Though people are almost right here.
IMHO, it should sound like this:
Em G D A
I learned to live half a life
Em G Asus4 A
And now you want me one more time

Thanks for your work!
October 15 2011, 03:21 am by elljell10 |
Yeah, It's Em,G,D,G

and one more thing. It's not big or anything but it's in the original song and it makes it sound that bit more interesting.

It goes:
A G
You lost the love I loved the most
(and then at the end of that, addd in an upstrum on G/F#
at least i think it is called that.) It's played like this:
----------3-----
----------3-----
----------------
----------------
----------------
----------2-----

I'm not 100% sure,
but for the bridge, i use em f# d e,
it may not be right but i think it sounds better,
(personally, on the piano) then bm f# d e,
but this version is soo good!
THANKYOU!

i use Em,G,Bm,A for the 'learned to live half alive part',and rest of this sound sweet..

I don't agree with these chrods at all. How they got 5 stars from so many must be some bizarre fluke.
January 15 2012, 02:27 pm by RainbowDrop |
IT IS AMAZING!!! How can u say it's bad when everyone else loves it?!

@criz14: i think strumming pattern should be:
dn dn dn dn up dn dn dn dn up for each chord

Love this song, but since I am a beginner I transposed it down 2 half steps and played with capo on the 3rd fret. Eliminated that tricky Bm chord. Hope that helps newbies
October 7 2012, 04:07 pm by Thunderflare |
I'm not that familiar with the song, but the third chord of the bridge is minor, no? The first guy, who said it was Em D Bm A, looks like he's right to me.

The only real mistakes on this chord chart are the missing Ab chord in the pre chorus and the substitution of the 6 chord (Cm-7) chord for the 1 chord (Eb major). But to you guys using a capo on the 1ST FRET.

I learned to live half a life

The Chords would be :E-,G,:B-7,A,:

Now the bridge section on this chart isn't what's on the track, but if a beginner is learning this tune it works great. As the bass line is being followed by the chords.

The Chords without a capo on the track would be.

:C-,C-^,:C-7,F/A,:

The Key index for Interpretation for what I've wrote.

- means Minor Chord

-7 means minor 7 chord

-^ means minor major 7

The F/A is an Fmajor chord with a root of A. So first inversion.

: Never represents bar lines except for this one comment as

/ that was taken up by the inverted F chord.

, Is giving you the idea of timing. So it's representing beats 2 and 4 just in this one comment.

Any complaints or queries please ask. As I'm a pro muso and I do this for a living ;)

February 2 2013, 09:23 am by BBloemers |
Verse 2
Bm D
I hear you're asking all around
A Em
If I am anywhere to be found
Bm D
But I have grown too strong
A G
To ever fall back in your arms
Em G D A
I've learned to live half a life
Em G Asus A
And now you want me one more time

---------------------------------

That is how it has to be, with the corrections of the others xD

This is great! I love it!

I like a couple different transitions in the verses that really work for me. I always feel like something is missing when singing along,so here goes:

I really liked this. very easy to play and flowed well for quick chords.
For "I learned to (D)live (Dsus)half a (A)life. and now you (D)want me (Asus)one more (A)time." Just my thoughts quick and easy without having to find a harder bar chords!

Some one else also posted on this particular line, so, please review all options and make it sound good to you!

I agree with anyone who get confused about how come this tab has 5 stars.
This tab has some false chord on it. Listen precisely..!
