October 10 2010, 12:31 pm by
im not sure these are the right chords :S when u play them along to her ones it doesnt sound right
October 10 2010, 01:59 pm by
what do you mean with Am* and C* and G* and D*? It sounds perfect btw :)
October 10 2010, 02:13 pm by
@ SylviaAimeeH- * means to continue one strum for each chord with the *. I didn't want to keep writing 'once' after the first one, so I used *. When the star stops you're back to regular strumming. Hope that makes sense :)
October 11 2010, 12:24 am by
These chords are perfect! Thank you so much!!! Your chords are always so good:)
@ mthakker- If you think these chords are wrong then your guitar is out of tune! And if it isn't then go have your ears checked! Seriously! You are tone deaf if you think these are wrong!
October 12 2010, 03:51 am by
@ TaySwiftRocks!- Thanks :)
October 12 2010, 10:40 am by
This is wrong...
It's DEFINITELY NOT Am...
Firstly, that's not a chord Taylor uses often, secondly, it doesn't sound right. It should be Em which sounds more correct and to back it up, it's also a chord Taylor uses very often in her songs
October 16 2010, 01:58 pm by
@jasminelep- I was DEFINITELY wrong.....ONCE! LOL!!! There is one Em in this song:
"I hear the preacher say..."
That Am should be an Em. I've updated but that can take days sometimes :)
October 18 2010, 12:00 pm by
The chords should be
D A Em G
theres no need to be rude.
October 18 2010, 12:01 pm by
it SHOULD sound like this
October 18 2010, 04:20 pm by
@ mthakker- I'm sorry but your comment has me LMAO! You think this song should be tabbed according to a girl singing it on youtube???!! Hilarious! This song is tabbed perfectly to the way the ORIGINAL song is performed/recorded in the studio by TAYLOR SWIFT!!
@cristy(heart)twilight- PERFECT!!!!!! 5 STAR!!! The Em in that one spot does sound correct. ONLY in that one spot!! Thank you for these chords!!!
October 18 2010, 04:23 pm by
@ mthakker- another thing- You think the song "SHOULD sound like this" Are you saying that Taylor Swift is singing her own song wrong???
October 19 2010, 10:18 am by
well go on then show me a video of taylor swift playing it with these chords!
October 19 2010, 10:28 am by
@mthakker i think you might be right actually
October 19 2010, 12:02 pm by
Thanks! These are perfect! Love it :)
October 19 2010, 01:10 pm by
Personally, in standard tuning, I think the Em sounds weird/wrong. Just my opinion:) I guess play it the way you want!! Am, Em, X,Y, or Z... whatever works for you!!
October 23 2010, 06:09 pm by
noloc eman resu
is it just me or does the g sound wrong in the chorus?
October 23 2010, 06:20 pm by
noloc eman resu
its d a em g if theres a capo on the 5th fret otherwise this is right
October 25 2010, 04:22 pm by
Why is this only four stars???? It sounds perfect! Especially when you play it along to the song! :)
October 28 2010, 03:38 am by
@mthakker- here you go:
You can clearly see in the beginning they're playing G D Am C. You said show you a video and I have... now apologize. You too ziggy89@hotmail & jasminelep! lol!
October 28 2010, 10:43 am by
@vanityfair- I watched her on David Letterman too and I guess there's no more debate about the Am/Em (I was holding my breath though...) no worries, Am prevails! lol!
Thank you to all those who are rating, I can only see the last 10 members who have rated or commented and I'm getting flooded since her cd was release. So if you don't get a "Thank You" from me that's why! So... "Thank You":)
November 2 2010, 04:24 pm by
if you have a 12 string you can play it on that an strum the chords instead of picking. If you listen closely and know what a 12 string sounds like you can hear it in the song
November 6 2010, 01:32 am by
ok yaall just play it like this
It's not Em, It's not Am its Asus4
hopefully that solves yer problem
November 6 2010, 01:33 am by
woops i meant Asus4/G 002233
November 6 2010, 01:33 am by
Use the Asus4/G chord 002233 instead of the Em
November 6 2010, 01:35 am by
Ok yall time to solve yer problems
its not an Am or an Em
An Asus4/G I think its called that
002233 try it sounds great
November 6 2010, 01:36 am by
srry for all the screw ups lol my com is like acting weird today
November 6 2010, 01:31 pm by
It actually is Am. Watch the video of her on David Letterman, they clearly play G D Am C :) Very simple & easy and fun to play!! (Also- one of the guitarist's plucks the beginning and the other guitarist strums/mutes the beginning so either way is right)
November 6 2010, 03:00 pm by

November 14 2010, 04:22 pm by

January 31 2011, 08:25 pm by
its perfect!!! Thanks!!!
February 26 2011, 06:43 pm by
When it says "but I'm only looking at you" it should have just a D instead of the G then the D.
Great chords, though!
February 26 2011, 06:45 pm by
& when it says "daydream" it should also be a D instead of a G
February 28 2011, 12:48 am by
@Agerasia - Thanks:)
March 31 2011, 09:10 pm by
April 1 2011, 04:46 am by

♥ Love this song so much! ♥
April 16 2012, 02:13 pm by
this sounds fantastic when payed by itself, but it becomes very obvious when playing with the track it is in the completely wrong key.
i'm a guitar teacher, and i tried to use this tab as a good song for my student to learn, but now i have to find something else. this tab is a half step higher than the actual song.
very simple for beginners, but inaccurate.
April 16 2012, 03:59 pm by
@thecrimmsondawn- you're not in standard tuning if you think this is wrong. It plays exactly along with the song off the cd. I've seen this played live in concert and her guitarist plays these chords :-)
December 19 2012, 05:04 pm by
This is good, just not for electric guitar. It sounds amazing on Prodigy and Destiny, my acoustic guitars though!:] Good work and thank you. I've been looking for an accurate set of chords for this song for agesss!xD
April 23 2013, 05:27 pm by
i added a capo (2nd fret) to match my voice
April 26 2013, 10:17 pm by
It's not one string. this is super late...but..it's one full strum. haha. just mute it after one down strum.
May 7 2013, 01:55 pm by
I play a 002200 for the Am, but, then again I have bad ears and my guitar's probably out of tune.
May 7 2013, 01:57 pm by
That is X02200
May 22 2013, 04:39 am by
This is a good song and very good chords indeed!Good job:D

Actaully, it's not "wearing a gown shaped like a pastry" it's "wearing a gown, she'd like a pastry". Don't feel bad, I thought that too until I read the official lyrics in the songbook.
July 14 2013, 05:30 pm by
Lol, I don't feel bad because your songbook is wrong ;) It's Definitely "...shaped like a pastry"! Ya know, like how some wedding gowns are poofy and their shape resembles a cupcake or wedding cake... pastries, lol. It's very clear,(you can specifically hear the 'p' in the word 'shaped') just listen to the song :) That other lyric doesn't even make sense, lol. You can't always just immediately trust something just because it says "Official" ;)
August 19 2013, 01:35 pm by
Should this be in Nashville tuning/12 string? I know Grant plays the rhythm on the 12 string side of a doubleneck on the DVD...
October 17 2013, 02:00 am by
Every tab you post is always satisfying! EVERY ONE!!!
October 27 2013, 05:53 pm by

November 21 2013, 10:04 am by
Thank you so much!! :) :) :)
February 26 2014, 11:23 am by
Christy!! I love your tabs...awesome girl!
I know this is a weird thing to point out on a chords site but it's "....i'll meet you when you're out of the church...."
NOTE: If you want to post a tab,
