This is the tabs for Rooster by Alice in Chains. I love this song and play it
almost every time I pick up a guitar, but that's just me. But anyways, you should
learn this song. It's a real good song to pick up chicks with at the beach just
because of it's basic tone (at least, it worked for me =P). So anyways, I'll
start tabbing the song now.

Like most every Alice in Chains song, this one is tuned half a step down (Eb Ab Db Gb Bb Eb).

The intro is just the same thing over and over again, so I'm not gonna just write
down every single chord strum, but the rythm is pretty easy to figure out.

Intro:
     F# F# ? ? A A ? ?
Eb|--2--2---0--0----5--5---0--0--------------------------------
Bb|--2--2---0--0----5--5---0--0--------------------------------
Gb|--3--3---3--3----7--7---7--7--------------------------------
Db|--4--4---4--4----8--8---8--8------repeat-until-chorus-------
Ab|--4--4---4--4----8--8---8--8--------------------------------
Eb|--2--2---2--2----5--5---5--5--------------------------------

Chorus:
     B A
Eb|--7---------------------------5-----------------------------
Bb|--7---------------------------5-----------------------------
Gb|--9---------------------------6-----------------------------
Db|--9---------------------------7-----------------------------
Ab|--8---------------------------7-----------------------------
Eb|--7---------------------------5-----------------------------
Here they come to snuff the rooster...

Eb|-0-2-2-0-2---0-2-2-0-2-0-0----------------------------------
Bb|-0-2-2-0-2---0-2-2-0-2-0-0----------------------------------
Gb|-3-3-3-3-3---3-3-3-3-3-3-3----------------------------------
Db|-4-4-4-4-4---4-4-4-4-4-4-4----------------------------------
Ab|-4-4-4-4-4---4-4-4-4-4-4-4----------------------------------
Eb|-2-4-4-2-2---2-2-2-2-2-2-2----------------------------------

     B A
Eb|--7------------------5--------------------------------------
Bb|--7------------------5--------------------------------------
Gb|--8------------------6--------------------------------------
Db|--9------------------7--------------------------------------
Ab|--9------------------7--------------------------------------
Eb|--7------------------5--------------------------------------
    Yea, here come the rooster...

Now is the part when you kick in the distortion when he goes "YEA!" on the last
part of the chorus. It's the same thing as the intro just use strings 6,5, and 4
as power chords instead of playing the whole chord. The only thing that's is
different is the little sound like the chorus part that goes

Little sound like the chorus part:
Eb|------------------------------------------------------------
Bb|------------------------------------------------------------
Gb|------------------------------------------------------------
Db|------------------------------------------------------------
Ab|-2p1h2-5--5-2-5-1------------2p1h2--5--7-2-5-1--------------
Eb|------------------2p0---2----------------------2-0---2------

And that's the song have fun with it and please tell me if I did
a good job with this tab, my email is
Thanks
