  Gm F Gm F

            Gm
  I walked around
         F
  People passed
               Gm
  The sun went down
             F
  It changes fast

                 D#
  And through my days
  I've found some ways
             F
  to hide my thoughts
  But what's the cost
           D#
  And if I may
  Leave some trace
          C F
  Just pretend

                           Gm
It's such a good day for dying
                            F
But still I've never been crying
                         Gm
So maybe I should keep waiting
                       F
For God and me to be dating

  Gm F Gm F

              Gm
  I walked on down
             F
  Through my past
            Gm
  Wondering how
                      F
  Those streets would last

                 D#
  And through my days
  I've found some ways
             F
  To hide my thoughts
  But what's the cost
           D#
  And if I may
  leave some trace
          C F
  Just pretend

                           Gm
It's such a good day for dying
                            F
But still I've never been crying
                         Gm
So maybe I should keep waiting
                       F
For God and me to be dating

To play like the record, change Gm to F#m, F to E,
D# to D, C to B and move the intro a fret down (the
first two notes will then be G|-4-4-|), but it
sounds better to play it the first way.
