You can substitute this bassline for verses to spice thins up a bit. 
I like to switch back and forth just for the heck of it. 

Honestly, it's kinda hard to tell what he's doing during the verse, so for all I
know, this could be right, haha.

Just watch out for timing, and this song should be pretty easy.

And I know the fives on the E can be replaced with open on the A, but i like the
tone of the E string one.
It sounds more like how he does it in the song.
Also it sets up for fingering for other parts.
